New Anti-Gun ADs running in Seattle

That's an interesting perspective. Is gun-owning a disease?

I think it probably is or, at least, indicates an emotional instability, a fear of the dark, an anti-social attitude. That's why we should publish the names of gun owners. They're a danger to public health.

Really? Because I think and the very least it is the people who would take away from themselves and more importantly others their right to defend themselves who are of a depraved mind. It's a sign of insecurity and low self worth. Those only skimming the surface to even deeper-seated issues...

The guy on the radio show does a pretty good job of dismantling the "study" that shows that guns in the home are 22% more likely to be used against you by someone in the home than to be used against an intruder.

yer just so dang cute! :lamo

Say...did you know that St Louis has been the Most Dangerous City in America 3 times, most recently in 2010, and that the only reason crime is reducing is because of the INCREASED law enforcement presence and increased sentencing? Missouri is also 11th in the nation in incarceration rates and duration. St louis also has a relatively high incident rate of home invasions resulting in death and badly beaten residents...so much so that the home owners...the law abiding citizen...the ones you think are "mentally ill"...are finally starting to fight back against those who you would excuse and justify because after all...it isnt their fault...poor dears...

yeah, I reviewed those studies. In most cases, a "gun in the home" involved one BROUGHT BY AN INTRUDER and used to shoot an occupant. The assholes who did the studies counted that as a GUN IN THE HOME

He also pointed out that the vast majority of incidents included in the study involved people with felony records that were already 'banned' from owning weapons and that were involved in illegal activity.

Its very similar to cooking the stats to make it say what you want it to say, like Bill Clintons claim that 13 'children' a day die by gun violence. Well...OK...true-if you do as they did and include people from the age of 0-26 in your statistical category of "children". Which means...by Clintons own admission, he is a child molester.

IT has been proven that many gun haters have self esteem issues dealing with their timidity. Those of us who own or carry guns accentuate the feelings of inadequacy and timidity of the anti gun types. They seek to ban guns in order to remove items that remind them of their own failings

yeah in one study the "average age of the slain children" was about the same as the average infantry casualty in Vietnam

Its especially helpful to make a point when you can include the most violent age demographic in your study. Without the 18-25 category, those numbers drop dramatically.

It's funny how they try project those feelings on us by saying that those that carry guns are trying to compensate.

true enough. the anti gun scum have to play around with the facts because the facts are generally going to bitch slap their arguments

Generally the more one is a eunuch, the more one is likely to make such silly arguments

No one wants to take-away the putative right of self-defense. We want to take-away your capacity to be threat to the community.
