If you look at Netanyahu's statement below he kind of didn't deny it.

I can't even imagine the chaos killing Khameni would unleash in the region.

US President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli plan to kill Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, two US officials tell Reuters.

Asked about the report during a live interview on Fox News, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, “There are so many false reports about conversations that never happened — I’m not going to get into it.”

It's like North Korea, if they lost their fearless leader we have no idea what would happen. They might celebrate or vow for revenge.

Actually, you are misreading Iranian civilians. They would quite likely celebrate..
They celebrated when the Shaw was deposed.

How'd that go?

The Iranian tyrant days are numbered anyhow.
I'm not sure why Israel really decided to spare him during the initial attack, but I don't mind seeing him getting the Gaddafi treatment by his own people as they make a move for freedom.

The Shah was a saint compared to what replaced him. Don't think they could do any worse.
It can always get worse. There are countries like North Korea to remind us of how much worse it can get.

Odd answer, considering that Iran was headed in the same direction as North Korea, only much more fanatical. The fat twit dictator in North Korea should not have nukes either, I blame mostly former US president Jimmy Carter for him ending up with nukes, however he is not on some fanatical religious quest to wipe out Jews.

I was under the impression they almost got him.
