So........question about tearing down statues.

Is General Grant next?

And Custer? And all other presidents and military men during the genocide perpetrated against Native Americans?

Just sayin'.......

He had no legal reason for seizing the Black Hills, so he invented one, convening a secret White House cabal to plan a war against the Lakotas. Four documents, held at the Library of Congress and the United States Military Academy Library, leave no doubt: The Grant administration launched an illegal war and then lied to Congress and the American people about it. The episode hasn’t been examined outside the specialty literature on the Plains wars.

Yeah, good point...how far back should we go in history to erase the atrocities that have bee performed?

Right-wingers are seriously just parrots. The official right wing line is now "ERASING HISTORY ERASING HISTORY." And they're flooding the internet with it.

News flash, Nazi apologists: history isn't taught through statues.

I see it as "Grant as sacred cow."

I surmise that this current wave of self-righteousness statue chasing depends a lot on which ox is being gored.

The livestock of the Leftists is sacred.

As someone who is neither right nor left, I see the parroting happening from both sides...six of one, half dozen of the other...

Yeah. It would be funny.......

Were it not so serious.

Yea, but if there are no statues you would have to read a book. That would be pretty lame.

Is this supposed to justify Literally Nazis' positions?

Vandals.

We are plagued by vandals and thugs in America.

Never fear.......it may take some time, but we will be great again.

A mob in Baltimore last night just shredded the oldest monument to Columbus 225 years old. Mobs are running the show
in this country. This country might be lost!

Aw, how cute. Which ignores the fact that disease killed far more Native Americans than any US general ever did, but hey, any excuse to desperately defend the slaveocracy known as "the Confederacy", right?
