My wish for 2020, what is yours?

Definitely not for me, I got creative one year and added alcohol to that shake. Not fun to "leggo your eggo" with that shake lol.

Pardon my off topic question, but what flavor is a Shamrock Shake? And what kind of hooch did you add to it?

My wish every election is that we'll end up with an entire government totally focused on what's best for the people instead of what's best for the people/corporations with the most money. I never get my wish, though i saw some improvement when Trump was elected President in 2016. I guess the best I can hope for is that he remains President.

I see nothing that gives me confidence that the rest of the government will improve.

I guess I do not see what you see in Trump. If you re for the people and against everything going for corporations, just the Trump tax cuts alone say you are wrong in believing in him. His corporate tax cuts were a boon to corporations and did little to help employees and the individual tax cuts went 83% to the top 1%. Do't know who that exactly fits with wanting government ot help the "people".

It's a green mint that I added some moonshine too. Bad Bad Bad decision on my part lol.

Ick.

Next time, try adding some Godiva Chocolate liqueur.

Well to be honest, it tasted REALLY good going down. The problem came about 10 minutes after I drank it, my stomach decided to do a product recall. Now THAT was the gross part lol.

shrug...

We could talk about the tax cuts, but that's off-topic so I won't. I'll just say this:

The tax reform bill was written by Congress...which brings us back to my wishes for every election.

It's not exactly what Trump wanted, but it's better than no tax reform at all.

That's the problem with Congress: They have to toss everything...including the kitchen sink...into a bill. It screws up the whole thing.
Even that isn't going far enough, though. Extend the disclosure requirements to ALL politicians and their PACs...not just 501(c)(4)'s.
But what would be even better is if the politicians, themselves, just told those big money donors to go **** themselves.

But in the real world, we have choices. Right now Democrats put up as their first proposal, efforts to seriously reform the thigns you say you are concerned about.
Why can you not support them, since they move us in that direction? What happens if Democrats pass small finance/ethics reforms with HUGE support from both parties? It means stronger legislation is desired, and more likely to pass. Democrats don't win, we win. Republicans will start to pass their own if its winning and if their base supports it, they will steal half the thunder over time.

Republicans need a course correction, we should provide it. Maybe they will adopt law and order, security, and fiance reform (hah) as their priorities instead of making noise about the status quo at the border, and insulting everyone in the (world), and trying to get that Russian scratch.

You're so concerned about money in politics, but Russia looks to have gotten its tentacles in the election itself, embedded in the NRA...this doesn't send any signals to you? No ring ding on the old doorbell?

What i wish is that the Dems take the White house and maintains control of the House but McConnell and the GOP maintain control of the Senate. It never works out well when one party controls all three as we have seen each time one party or the other has done so. What is your wish?

Agree, but would add that our politicians need to start putting the Nation over Party and learn to work together even if it means some compromising by both sides.

Ocasio-Cortez is elected president, the inevitable chaos ensues and liberals are finally outed for the dumbasses they are.

Then after the lolly pops and unicorns delusion, we let the grownups who understand realty get back to business.

Huh. Since she's not yet 35, she can't run.

My wish is that frothy, YeeHaw conservatives would finally learn civics.

I second this.

Apparently his world of "reality" is highly ignorant of a fact-based world.

Um... we are living in the design of "business" that you apparently want so you should be extremely happy. Instead you are in here incessantly whining. Go away and celebrate... for now.

Are you triggered because not everyone loves your little dimwit girl?

I will say she's really bouncy and worthy of a 2 am throw but that's about it.

Triggered? I'm laughing at you calling everyone else stupid while not even knowing that there is an age limit to run for the presidency.

*protip: if you are going to make a post calling other's stupid or dumbasses, don't have a glaring idiotic error in the middle of it.

Can we add civility to that?

These are some of the nastiest humans ever encountered, even an observation about weather can bring on a troll post insulting "libruls". The reason there is no compromise in America is because of the huge numbers of people who simply want revenge. These pages are filled with so much latent hate that 'what's good for the country' is simply unobtainable.

In a sane country they would simply allocate $ to determine where best and with what any barrier be placed along with humanitarian aid to the poor bastards who are being treated like criminals; pawns in a game of ego bashing ego.

No one has even a good idea what barriers to use, a huge controversy and opposition from locals and some serious questions about protocols.

So you end up arguing and spending millions in debate and showmanship about something even Trump wasn't talking about six months ago - PRESUMING there is validity in what he says, a man who is on record telling 15 lies per day.

No where in this do the American people get anything save yet another episode of "Donny's World - My Greatest Wall! Better than even China!" episode.

My wish for 2020 is that Nancy would announce her retirement (and fly home in coach with (the) hoi polloi).

You mean business as usual where over half the country struggles paycheck to paycheck. Socialism, bad. Capitalism, good. Taxes, bad. Government, bad. Yup, back to business.
