The reason why the illegal immigrants get hired is because they work hard, accept low pay, don’t complain, and are very dependable.

Nobody wants to hire homeless people who tend to be mentally ill or suffer from drug addiction.

You have an arrogant, dismissive attitude towards the migrants, comparing them to homeless people, but the truth is they are regular people who happen to be poor. If you were in their position you’d do the same thing.

I’m all for helping the homeless, but if you want them to work there needs to be charitable or governmental organizations involved in helping them getting them back on their feet so they can re-enter society, and they need medical care, and drug treatment care. And all of that costs money which you aren’t willing to spend.

Yes, I know. They are the modern thing, closest to slave labor we have been allowed. Shouldn't we need to raise the wages of such jobs until a regular citizen will work for it, instead of wanting lesser class people?

Jeez.... You admit to treating them as lower class. If you want them here, at least pay a proper wage.

Before COVID, most were that way. We now have homeless who were once business owners, thanks to the draconian lock-down policies destroying people's livelihood.

Yes, they are poor. But they are here illegally in most cases, and even those here awaiting asylum should have been required to wait outside.

Why give them work permits when we can keep exploiting them at below minimum wage and use them as political scapegoats? Just have some theatrical deportations and raids, and keep the money and political drama going.
 
So a bunch of farmers, probably tons of republicans, are going to lose their businesses/houses because of Donald Trump. The yankee crook and conman.

Re raising wages

That would be ideal, but business owners would cry as that would reduce profits and probably put a lot of them out of business. Many farms would be uncompetitive with imports if they had to pay wages Americans would want to do that type of work

Donald Trump will save us from the high price of groceries. He's firing half the farm hands and replacing them with higher paid fast-food workers. That'll bring the price of bread down.
