MSNBC to be rebranded MS NOW, dropping Peacock from logo

MSNBC needs to go full leftwing Fox News, a singular message pushed while wrapping into some infotainment packaging. Something that makes you less informed the longer you watch it, but at least it's entertaining.

Or....my preference.

Long form shows that dive into stuff. Podcast TV. Chris Hayes with the NYC Water Management Director going over the challenges of supplying water to a massive metro population with the coming climate change. Or Ezra Klein bringing on a Chinese Buddhist philosopher to discuss the importance of meditation. It won't have high numbers, but it will have higher income watchers.

If they are not changing their product which is losing viewership, what is the point of rebranding it?

I heard it joked that it looks like the campaign logo for a failed Democratic presidential campaign. They're not wrong. It's the same boring red, white and blue of Fox News and NewsMax

And the name "MS NOW" makes it sound like they want to give me multiple sclerosis now. Thanks, but no thanks.
My first thought was Mostly S*** NOW.

😇

They will follow the CNN path of pay for articles online and higher costs for inclusion in cable service right into obscurity. CNN is facing a 14% decline (year over year) but up these recent weeks, and MSNBC or MS Now, or whatever is down 8% (year over year.) All are distant to FoxNews which is up recently and up year on year.

Anderson Cooper, Rachel Maddow, etc. are all irrelevant. Even that lunatic Joe Rogan can pull off somewhere between 10 to 15 times the viewership per show.

Nobody gives a shit about CNNs or MSNBCs or similar primetime line ups, and as it turns out fewer give a shit about turning in during the day just to see what is going on.

On the one hand, MSNBC is about hosts, like Maddow, Hayes, O'Donnell, and some worse ones. But on the other, it's about the corporate, which has long been bad. For years a right-wing person ran it, spitefully. This is corporate crap about selling it off.

That is a stupid name. The MS comes from an old association with Microsoft that has not been a thing fir decades. They should just drop the MS.
Maybe call it Air America Television. 😉

Wifey probably agrees, I'll ask after she wakes up and sees it.😆

MSNBC has separated from NBC into a new company named Versant.

MS NOW = My Source for News, Opinion and the World

Speaking of FOX News.....

Even with all those revelations we know about Fox from 2020 and beyond, the majority in America continue to want to be lied to. It baffles the mind.
