What does your inability to understand the word "defend" have to do with racism?

What Palestinians are being endangered in the tunnels? Hamas operatives? Rocket launchers?

There would not be ANY Palestinians in Gaza endangered if Hamas didn't keep attacking. And tunnels are just another form of attack.

And now you don't want Israel to respond to terrorists launching rockets at Israeli civilians?

No I haven't. I haven't commented on it as yet. I decided , for now , to posit the question that the tunnels in Gaza are constructed/expanded in response to IDF air control over Gaza. As the article I cited admitted , the tunnels give the Palestinians a bit of a combat capability leveler when it comes to IDF ground invasions of the territory.
