MOH or Nobel Peace Prize for Bush?

Should Bush receive the MOH, the Nobel Peace Prize, or both?

Since George Bush is our Commander-in-Chief shouldn't he be considered a recipient for the MOH (Medal of Honor) for having the foresight and military acumen/courage to take on this modern day guerrilla/terrorist/suicidal warfare we see today? Bill Clinton's passive and downright evasive strategies toward terrorism helped pave the way for Bush to become our modern day military hero.

I was kind of torn between offering the MOH and the Nobel Peace Prize to Bush. No one can deny that Bush's spread of democracy throughout the Mideast he!!-hole is more than worthy of any type of available Peace Prize. So you can see the dilemma here. Don't dismay, I'll have an option where you could choose 'both'.

Back on topic. Should Bush win the Nobel Peace Prize? I think you need to promote peace to get that...maybe Bush's successor will get one...but Bush? :| Doubt it.

OK, you had me going for a while...but now I'm 100% convinced that you aren't a real person. You're just a troll. My guess is that you're a liberal trying to parody the worst aspects of conservatism. The problem is, none of the conservatives (at least the intelligent ones) on this forum ever agree with you.
 

I wouldn't be sure about it- there are so many people who look fake, but somehow enjoy moments of lucidity (this may or may not apply to the Kid).
However, it could just be another facet of the troll's brilliant plan.

Not sure what you mean here, Volker. Kissinger won it for helping to establish the ceasefire and US withdrawl from Vietnam, effectively ending US involvement in the war. I would think this would qualify him for this award.

He was a advocator of bombings there before and there are hints his coworkers even made plans about using nuclear weapons against Vietnam. This alone qualifies him to spend the rest of his useless life in a cage, but he did not stop to plan crimes later.
 

Well, I guess if Arafat can win it then anyone, regardless of how much violence one is associated with, can. :roll:

I think we are coming to the conclusion that the Nobel Peace Prize, with, perhaps some notable exceptions, can be misguided, politically motivated, or myopic. Especially, myopic. What do you say, Volker?

I think all Nobel prices are political. The Nobel price does not say much more about a person then he or she has a lobby or good connections.

Another thing about the Peace Nobel Price is that it is named after a guy who made most of his money by selling ammunition.

His dad got rich producing and selling mines during conflicts like the American Civil War and Nobel himself worked in this business later making the explosives more effective.

Yes, his dad was one of the inventors of the mine, he developed the business then and the Nobel company is still one of the big European ammunition manufacturers.

Yes, this is a great idea. We would be the first ones to get it for internet activities, this gives the old price a modern touch and we are much less controversial than many of the others.

We would be best quality for it :mrgreen:


We just have to manage to not start arguing about who gets which share of the donation when all the people are still around.

I love this. First for nternet activities...great touch, Volker. Can't think of any of the nominees being more deserving and less controversial. I mean, bringing peace and tranquility to the thread of an internet message board is nothing to be triffled with. Time to start campaigning...
