Padre Announcer: "Give him the heater, Bobby". Lol @ Padres.

New York Mets Hall of Famer Ed Kranepool died on Sunday, the team announced on Monday afternoon.

I'm old.. Saw him play... Lol

Split-screen with the Mets & Yankees announcers, the latter to here their Royals comments.
Nice matchup for night owls with Imanaga at LAD and YY’s first outing back from the IL.

Gil and Ragans dealing. @Bucky
Could be a post-season matchup.
NYY another postseason team that struggles with lefties.
Francis is quite a find for Toronto.
Mets with 6 in 9th to keep pressure on Braves for last seed.
Can Diamondbacks keep their slot?

Mets no-hit for 8 innings.. Big win for them.. 2nd time this Jays pitcher lost a no-no in the 9th..

Ragans gets bombed by Soto on no more better
than his third best pitch, a sloppy knuckle-curve.

He’d d just walked a guy beforehand on 3-2 with the same non-competitive curve.
Forget to cal his fastball and change (a screwball to me).

Both times to a HR as well.
Solemn but proud to see Yankees wear FDNY hats.
Mets, Yankees, Pirates and Nationals should play a home game every September 11. Unfortunately MLB doesn't realize this.

Yankees acted like they won the pennant with Jazz’s walk-off
in the bottom of the 11th yesterday against the Royals.

Talking Yankees as always on MLBN with rotation options, like who to ? piggyback ?

White Sox at 115 losses and a .223 winning percentage. They're going to have to win some games to keep from making history.

The Dodgers scored 9 runs tonight against the Braves with only 4 hits. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

The Dodgers put up some big crooked numbers in the last two games, restoring order in Atlanta. Who needs pitching?

As Homer Simpson said: Trying is the first step to failure.

The Dodgers have ruined every one of their starter's arms. Ruined. Every one.

So the Dodger will either 1) Be hosed in the playoffs because they have to rely on questionable starters and rely heavily on their bullpen or 2) Do better this year because they won't be complacent, impudent snobs but instead be scrappy underdogs.

Its hard to seem scrappy with 3 or 4 Hall of Famers but here we are.

Great post. Whatever the Dodgers are doing with their starting pitchers isn't working, and that's an understatement. It isn't just this year either, theve done it the past couple of years too.

Go out and throw as hard as you can every pitch for 5 or maybe 6 innings and then we'll come get you, seems to be how they're handling their staff, but they're all blowing their arms out doing that.

We've been saying this about the Dodgers and too many other teams for too many years.
What they are doing will start to work whenever both Shohei and Yoshi are healthy and in a 6- or 7-DAY rotation before the ASB.
After the ASB, with only 67 or so games remaining, theses pitchers will be stronger through the playoffs on shorter rest.

So Cal Baseball joke:

Whats the difference between Dodger Dogs and Angel Dogs?

A: They don't sell Angel dogs in October.

Historic day for Ohtani and the Dodgers. 6-6, 3 homers 10rbi's. Set multiple records today and Dodgers clinched a spot in playoffs. Everyone has ran out of new superlatives for Ohtani.

He had a good week in just 1 game.... 3 HR'S and 10 RBIs... Lol
You have to be pumped tonight on the Mets.

On another thing that happens, Pfaadt (AZ) has
struck out 11 MIL batters. MIL clinched last night.

The fan who caught Shohei Ohtani’s 50th Home Run baseball has opted to walk away with it. Dodgers did not get it back.

I'd have done the same thing. That's a six figure ball. If the Dodgers want it back, they'll have to pay for it, no autographed jerseys and bats....cash.
