Mitch McConnell calls Marjorie Taylor Greene a 'cancer'

The article clearly states that McConnell called the cancer a “cancer”, just as the cancer called McConnell a “cancer”.

I quoted Mitch McConnell. The original poster mangled his words. He never called her a cancer.

You're welcome.

Get it right... He did not call anyone a cancer.
He called GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s embrace of conspiracy theories a “cancer” for the party.
There is a nice positive spin. GOP GOP GOP

Sure he didn't.

Is it just hard to hear that GOP leadership thinks people who think like you are a cancer to the party?

For the last time, McConnell did not call Greene a cancer. He called her CT a cancer to the party. I don't think like her at all... stop lying.

McConnell is out of touch with the voters.

He just won re-election handily. But its true that he is taking heart back home for being honest with the public about Trump and Greene. nd that's a refreshing, if self-serving, look for him.

MTG hit back at McConnell and DEMs right away tonight on Twitter, as Trump would have.

Just as the GOP lost control of Trump, they’ve also losing control of MTG.

And just as DEMs underestimated Trump, they’ll underestimate MTG.

Is there no bottom?

Without Trump in office to support her and bully McConnell and McCarthy, Greene is on an island with just a few kindred ass holes.

McConnell is working to put Trump (and Trumpism) in the rear view and save the Republican Party, if it can be.

That’s going to be very difficult to do, because most of the GOP base is crazy. You take the crazy out, and Mitch will lose his electoral base. That base is already starting to distance itself from McConnell. He may find himself out on his rear end before MTG ever does.

Yer the one lying here, trixare4kids. The headline of the article said McConnell called MTG a “cancer”.

My mistake. Greene is terrific. It’s those terrible loony tunes lies that keep popping out her mouth that are the problem.

I can't take anything Moscow Mitch says seriously, like his master, Trump, he flip flops constantly and doesn't even seem to know his own mind. The party of daftness. 🤡
Any knews about his views also tend to have to come through, "Sources say..." becuase Mitch is such a 1st rate coward and rarely will put a position out there publicly.

What you just tried to do here is a gambit that hasnt worked for any man ever that I am aware of....here is a conversational version of it, in all of its hilarity:

Husband: "Why are you acting like such a bitch?"

Wife: "Did you just call me a bitch? Have you lost your mind?"

Husband: "No honey, I would never call YOU a bitch....I said you were acting LIKE a bitch."

That shit wouldnt work for the husband above, and it doesnt work for you either.

MTG’s got Mitch and Kevin right by the balls with her Twitter. She’s the spawn of the 1930s GOP Nazis, McCarthy, Nixon, Atwater, Gingrich, McConnell and Trump.
Geez....couldn't happen to a nicer couple guys, could it.

In point of fact, both of them did it to themselves. McConnell just figured it out about 5 nanoseconds sooner than IDIOT WIMP McCarthy did.

I am going to love this Senate Impeachment trial no matter the verdict. I would like one verdict better than the other. But the trial itself will be enough.

Takes one to know one.

A completely meaningless distinction in this case. If you’re playing silly pendantic games congrats on succeeding. It you’re try to defend that indefensibly stupid woman try again.

Good on McConnell for saying this publicly. The fact he said that loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party signals a need to purge the party of those who do that and return to traditional GOP values. In the same comments he voiced support for Liz Cheney and her impeachment vote, or rather her willingness to vote her conscience. After what McConnell said publicly about Trump after Jan 6th and the Georgia Senate losses, followed by him telling his Senators that they are free to vote their conscience at the impeachment trial, I wonder if maybe ole Mitch is ready to lead by convicting Trump. Now that would be a something.......no breath holding on my part but it sure would be a great start in getting the GOP back to their core values.

Trump still has a lot supporters, but he doesn’t have the office or the power that comes with it anymore. And there’s plenty of reason to believe that Trump’s grip on the base will weaken substantially over the next year.

McConnell, who was just re-elected to another 6 years (very possibly his last term before retiring), has the time, smarts and decades of experience to capitalize on that, moving ahead to restore sanity and some resemblance of decorum to his party.

I could be wrong, but that’s my take on what’s happening.
