But among people with less serious degrees, say in Women's Studies, Education, Political Science, Underwater Basket-weaving...I imagine they would be quite likely to work in support of public sector unions, work in government, and be beholden to their masters. So yes, they would be statists. They would be liberals.
I suppose it depends on the degree and where they get the money that employs them. It might be instructive to see the correlation between serious degrees and political leanings. I spend much of my time with engineers, mathematicians and scientists in the private sector. This morning as I consider it I cannot think of even one who is a liberal. Not even the college new hires.Gee, that's funny, since people with degrees have the lowest unemployment rate and the higher ones level of education the more likely they are to be liberal.
