A federal grand jury indicted Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan on Tuesday. She's accused of helping an undocumented man avoid immigration agents at the county courthouse last month.

Guess the grand jury agreed with the evidence presented.

Score a victory for Righties who will be salivating over this story for the next 6 months.
Nah….no need to salivate. At least not yet. I want to see more evidence, don’t you?

I predict she won't be convicted. The only question is whether or not a judge tosses it out at some point, which is debatable. Grand juries evaluate whether there's enough evidence to go to trial, which is a broad standard.

She screwed up. Put emotion ahead of the law. But Righties will twist this into some sort of conspiracy involving Globalists, George Soros, Liberal Elites, Leftwing Wokism, Anti-American Commies or some such nonsense.

Why would a judge toss the case?

Why would a judge toss the case?

If they believe that the crime and all its elements weren't spelled out correctly. I'm guessing that since it's DOJ/FBI that brought charges, that's unlikely. I'd be surprised if they didn't do their homework to that end.

A judge will not toss a case simply because he believes that the evidence isn't strong. The evidence doesn't have to be strong for a grand jury to indict.

I still think it's a ridiculous case and I'd be surprised if this ended in a criminal conviction, but stranger shit has happened.

She “screwed up”? She endangered many with her “screw up”. No need to twist what she did, there are witnesses to what actually occurred. And they gave statements. And she has been indicted. As she should be. She can plead her case as others before her court have done.

How did she endanger anyone?

How did she endanger anyone?
By showing the accused a way to escape, and causing his arrest to have to take place on a street, which endangered not only those on the street but the agents as well. She will get her time to explain herself. I look forward to it.

She screwed up. BUT now Righties will make this into some conspiracy to tickle their sensitivities. The courts, and juries, will decide. I can make you a bet though, if you are willing, that if she doesn't get sent to prison, Righties will be screaming from the rafters.

Better to endanger people in the courthouse? I don't get your logic.
