militarty times poll shows hillary with virtually no support among military

another poll that includes the vets also

////////////////
Donald Trump is leading Hillary Clinton among military and veteran voters by double digits, according to a new NBC/Survey Monkey poll.

Fifty-five percent of active and former military members support Trump, while 36 percent back Clinton.

I see Warren as a spiteful power hungry hater who panders to those who are mad at Corporate wealth and aren't smart enough to see what she wants is more power

I find her worse than Hillary. Trump sucks but I doubt he's going to wage jihad on over taxed productive citizens, gun owners, or the law enforcement community

I guess we see things differently. No one else seems to want to stand up to corporate greed. When I hear guys like Larry Kudlow defending $100, 200 and 300 million dollar paydays and god forbid they remove that carry interest bull**** it makes me want to vomit. Executive pay is out of control and has no relationship with company performance, especially long term. So Trump doesn't want more power?

all of them want more power. I think warren is the least honest about it. her pandering to the envious based on spite really bugs the snot out of me. she gets paid 325K a year at harvard for part time teaching. that alone puts her near the top 1%

hard to believe she really is about "economic justice" and the other crap she preaches

nationalist greed is different from globalist greed..

globalism destroys america's natural advantage of the greatest natural resources in the world.... america does not need other nations but other nations does need america.... other nations being globalist can help them somewhat but harms america big time

trump is a nationalist like teddy roosevelt and will produce great progress like teddy roosevelt he will hammer the globalists media and entertainment monopoly that are drugging out the population to waste time and lose productivity

Going to my VFW and American Legion meetings, there is hardly any support at all there for Hillary. Trump doesn't have much support either, he really has most of the Vietnam vets peeved at him or at least down here he does. Johnson's number surprises me, there is hardly any talk at all about him before and after the meetings. But then again quite a lot of the vets have stated they are going to take a pass on this election mainly because they don't like either candidate.

A lot of us put both Trump and Hillary into the Jane Fonda class. I guess the younger soldiers support Trump far more then us old farts.

As do my active duty and retired friends here in Hampton Roads. I'd rather pull a "mess cook" off one of the local ships and run him/her.

It doesn't matter what the military thinks because we are only 4/5ths of a vote.

The handling of absentee ballots over the years has been disgraceful. A study by MIT found that 21% of them are never counted.

This is wrong, Hillary enjoys huge support among the military.....

.....The Russian military, the Chinese military, The Iranian military, the North Korean military..........

Well that's what happens when you nominate a fiat-tyrant. These people are trained from Day 1 to hate tyranny.

usually the older vets supports trump the most... why?? because he is a nationalist like teddy roosevelt.. somehow some military may not understand he is a nationalist... once they do they will stampede to trump

one reason why the military may not be totally for trump is because many now are women in the military and they would vote less for trump

but the men in the military would vote in a landslide for trump because he is a nationalist

I think not. I wouldn't call 39% if the the Army poll is accurate a landslide for Trump. That means 61% are voting for someone else which isn't Clinton apparently. Its like Trump winning the primaries with 40% of the GOP vote, that still means 60% preferred someone else. Same here. But what I see is no love at all for either, although the dislike seems a bit less for Trump.

I think Trump is trying to use the military to score political points whereas he doesn't give a darn about them. He lost a lot of Vietnam Vets down here when he trashed our POW's in Hanoi. The mood here is if any soldier get captured, Trump doesn't care as he considers them bad soldiers for getting caught. Then there is his attack on the gold star parents who lost a son in Iraq. A lot of us feel that is his true colors, not the rhetoric he spouts.

Hillary has never been liked ever since she was first lady. Like most Americans view her, she just isn't trusted by the military. But the 39% the poll gives the military voting for Trump seems about right. Like in civilian world, you'll always have your party loyalist, those serving in the military are no different although most are more non-political or apolitical, whichever applies.

The Islamic Terrorists and the army of Thugs Lives Matter love her too.

US military favors Trump and Johnson over Clinton

A new poll suggests that American troops are more likely to vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump or Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson than they are for Democrat Hillary Clinton.

According to the Military Times poll out Wednesday, the percentage of enlisted troops who said they would vote for Trump was 39.8 percent and 36.1 percent for Johnson. Clinton received just 14.1 percent support while Green Party candidate Jill Stein was 1.3 percent and write-in or other third party candidates were 3.2 percent. The poll also found 5.5 percent of the troops had no plans to vote.

this means when states rights push begins if trump don't win .... it means hillary has no support to stop it

trump will have the men.... the white men in a landslide..... white women by a little...will have the highest income earners and without the student debt which proves more wise than the college grads that does not support as much,,,,, will have the law enforcement and the military.... if trump wants states rights then that will come.... he has the power and hillary has no power to stop

I am retired military, as our many of my friends. None are voting for Trump, the military times is a rag, only the hard core read the thing, it leans right, and does not speak for all Vets.

Come on now...Trump didn't carte blanche trash the POW's, you know that. He did trash John McCain for political reasons, because McCain wasn't initially supporting Trump. But as you know McCain has endorsed Donald Trump for president.

Should Trump have said it that way...of course not, and Trump knows that. To my knowledge, Trump has not brought up the phraseology of why he said it, and I didn't research what I'm about to say about Patton...but Trump is a known big fan of George Patton, and this sounds like something Patton would have said and Trump repeated it...or Trump tried to sound a bit like Patton. It was a mistake, and I'm not condoning what Trump said about a great war hero, the best, like John McCain who could have been released "early" from that hell hole, but McCain decided to stay with the other POW's - courage that I can't even fathom. All that being said, let's not take Trump's comments out of the context I presented which I realize is subjective, but I think is accurate.

more right wing hate

I worked at a commissary on a military base, we stocked the Military Times, we sold maybe 25 copies a week, the Enquirer sold better, I would not read too much into that poll, most service members have never even bought a copy.

Why would anyone expect anything else, Obama/Hillary gut the military and tie its hands and forces them to take the queer-o-sexuals.

Queer O? Are you aware some gays on this board, especially ones who served may find that offensive?

Oh, by the way, this queer o served 2 tours in Iraqi, no need to thank this old queen.

That is because the MT is also bought and paid for by the various commands on the base, and passed down through the ranks.

The Navy Times...same deal.

True-You can throw in the Navy, Air Force, and Marine Times, very right wing, like I said tabloids sell better.

It's a quote from Family Guy. A lot of things I post are offensive, I'm not PC. Thank you for your service.

In the future please use quatation marks with a cite, otherwise there your words and you own them. Kinda like Trumps statement on McCain.

trump wins the inventors... wins the predictors..... wins the success... we see this by trump winning the incomes and without college debt

trump wins all the REAL POWER

Hilary get good vote also... from he WISE... with real power... smart and genius... we know this because LOGIC!

Laughable. We still spend way more than anyone else. Gutted, lol.

You don't even want him to have served, don't pretend you're thankful.

Subjective yes. All I can tell you is a lot of Vietnam Vets think he trashed our POW's in Hanoi and wouldn't want to become one if Trump was CINC because Trump thinks being captured is being a bad soldier. Whether or not Trump meant what he said in the way you state or not has become mostly irrelevant as that is not the way it was taken. For two months after Trump said what he did, at the VFW meetings that was all that was talked about. To put it mildly, Trump was put into the same category as Hanoi Jane who famous or infamous photograph of pretending to shoot down American planes was taken. I will not repeat the language used, but will state it was GI language.

Then he trashed a gold star family who lost a son in Iraq doing his country's duty. Trump isn't one most of us vets want as CINC. That is why quite a few are taking a pass. Trump may indeed win the military vote 40-15 over Clinton, but that leaves 45% of the military taking a pass refusing to choose between Trump and Clinton or voting third party. Being that 45% will probably not be voting the exit polls may actually show Trump winning the military vote something like 70-30 or 60-40, but it won't count the half who said the heck with it and refused to choose.
