The evening before Michigan's state primary, Wayne County GOP leaders held a Zoom training session for poll workers and partisan observers -- warning them about "bad stuff happening" during the election and encouraging them to ignore local election rules barring cell phones and pens from polling places and vote-counting centers.

"None of the constraints that they're putting on this are legal," former state senator Patrick Colbeck told trainees on the August 1 call.

While volunteer partisan observers have always been trained by political parties and non-profit groups in Michigan, the Wayne County GOP had also invited poll workers -- people hired and paid by the local clerk's office. They are in charge of running the election, and their responsibilities can include checking voter IDs, counting ballots, and even securing voting equipment at the end of the day. Poll workers are required to engage in non-partisan training overseen by the local clerk and are only identified as Republicans for the purposes of making sure there is equal representation of both major parties working the election, according to the Michigan Bureau of Elections.

Well well well, here we have yet another story of MAGA Commies flaunting election rules. It's clear there was no significant election fraud, but it seems that the MAGA Commies tried their best.

I'm not sure one can tally "poll worker has a pen and some Post-Its" under the "election fraud" column, but go ahead and try.

That's funny. If the GOP was doing the fraud, instead of the Dems, Trump would still be President. But he isn't and a career do nothing is.

Does it raise any concern for you that the person who is supposed to be safe guarding the election process is training the poll workers to violate the rules because in their opinion they are not legal?

Well no one has accused the MAGA Commies of being competent. They failed at kidnapping the governor of Michigan, failed at election fraud, failed in their 1/6 Sedition.

They keep going at it, which is why they are a threat to democracy and the Republic; but all in all they're more incompetent than the Democrats.

Is there a law in Michigan that prohibits pen/paper and/or cell phones at a polling site? Can you cite it?

It does concern me that local election rules would prohibit a poll worker from being able to write down anything they find irregular. I can see no legitimate reason for the rules. Where local election rules violations become violations of election law, however, is not something I have experience judging.
