How professional... Classy show.

Earlier this morning, our own Nando Di Fino critiqued Michele Bachmann’s appearance on last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon by saying that that the first half of her segment, when she discussed her family life and Thanksgiving, was much better than her second, where she attempted to make “stale, rehearsed political humor.” However, it now seems that her spot on the show was tainted from the very beginning thanks to a sly commentary from Fallon’s house band, The Roots. In case anyone watching the show was curious why Bachmann’s entrance music appeared to be a rocking ska song, the song’s title, “Lyin’ Ass Bitch,” might explain things.

A: Jimmy Fallon sucks.

B: I'm forced to admit it's an accurate way to describe her.

So what are your thoughts on their choice of music?

As it says in your article:
Previously, they scored Ashlee Simpson’s appearance to a Milli Vanilli song and welcomed Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt with the song “Loser” by Beck. All of which is very funny.

They must not like her very much.

A. Your thoughts on the choice of music?

B. Attack the victim... Nice.

The victim :lamo :lamo :lamo

You are overly sensitive on this kind of stuff.

She's a big girl, she'll be alright.

The choice of music, meh I simply don't care.

A liar and a bitch aren't bad words to describe someone who thinks you can pray away your gayness.

Don't fret. Grim17 calls Obama names all the time, but he is also far to biased to make that connection.

so tell me grim.....do you think the protestors who were pepper sprayed were victims?

So you have no problem with Fallon showing such blatant disrespect for a presidential candidate?

What happened to the days when TV talk shows treated candidates with respect, like Johnny Carson, Mike Douglass and Dick Cavett used to? I guess this is the new progressive America, so we better get used to the low moral standards and lack of class that comes with it.

You don't have respect for the actual president. Why should you care if a presidential candidate gets made fun of?

(and I don't think any of those guys ran the Late Late Show)

Yeah, there was a day when radio was respectable too. Before Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc, etc....

But I don't host a network talk show seen nationwide by million of people.

Let me tell you something... I would be just as pissed if something like that were done to Hillary or the first lady. This isn't about politics, it's about class, respect and moral standards. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who defends or dismisses this kind of crap, is contributing to the moral decline of American society.

On blogs, partisan political talk shows, and forums like this, disrespect for politicians, including the president, is part of the game. On nationwide, non-political talk show forums like Fallon, that's a different story. Even though I disagree with Obama and think he's America's ultimate presidential nightmare, there is no way in hell I would ever view such disrespect being show to the president with approval.

There is no excuse for shows like that to mock a president, or a presidential candidate the way Fallon did with Bachman last night.

Except Bachmann isn't a presidential Candidate.

She's a joke.

What Jimmy Fallon and the Roots cannot have political leanings? You imposed that on them, and I doubt that's something they ever agreed to. Again, the day you are respectful to politicians is the day you can expect others to be.

BIG TIME... I watched that happen live, and it really pissed me off. I felt so bad for her when that happened, and at the same time was very pissed that NASCAR fans, which I happen to be, could be so rude and classless. That wasn't a political event, it was a sporting event and she should have been treated with respect, especially since she was there in support of charity organization.

That's the same way I feel about what Fallon did to Bachman last night. It's classless, rude and totally uncalled for.

I did not know that about you, that changes the game a bit. I actually could not watch the video of Bachmann because I heard she got booed a lot and I am not in the mood for that kind of awkwardness.

You are the perfect example of why the moral standards in America have sunk so low.

Thank you for that insightful contribution, it was very helpful.

seriously Jet.. teen promiscuity, gay parades, adultery, marijuana smoking, and strip clubs would not be nearly so rampant if only people would stop thinking a joke of a presidential candidate was a joke.

ok maybe not so seriously

What Jimmy Fallon and the Roots cannot have political leanings?

Of course they can, but that is no excuse for such underhanded, low class behavior... It isn't a political show, news show, or debate show...It's an entertainment based talk show that interviews famous guests in a pleasant, non-confrontational manner, to allow the country to see who they are behind the scenes. Bachman was ambushed and ridiculed with that choice of music, and it was reprehensible and totally uncalled for.

The attacks by the left on the victim, Michelle Bachman, although low class and childish, I fully expected based on my many years of discussions with liberals... But I must say that I'm surprised that we're 3 pages into this, and not even one of you has voiced condemnation for what Fallon did, or shown it to be objectionable in any way. Hmmmm
