They indeed are banned for any student in elementary school grades. That is unconstitutional because these books aren't pornographic or obscene. That is a LOOOONG way from your ignorant insistence that they were banned. They aren't banned. Now you flail for some other ignorant point to hook your anger to. Just admit you are wrong and do a LITTLE research the next time.
That's why school boards hold meetings. Show up and speak your piece.Sure they have that right--for their children.
But not for my kids, or my neighbors kids, or anyone else's kids.
Is anyone really doing that? How many parents say "yeah please teach my first grader about oral sex, masturbation and anal intercourse".You send a note to school asking your child to be offered a different book to read for class time. You don't fill out a badly spelled, miss cited, and ignorant form demanding no child should read a book you don't like.
Nope. But she does get to raise her voice; go to the meetings are answer her. This Proud Boy fan. antisemite is who gets to decide for all the children and their parents in an entire school district?
If IT WERE just one parent, I'd agree, but this shit's going all over at the expense of actual education. Why doesn't your ilk complain abut the dismal test results that spending fifteen to twenty thousand dollars buys. But Mom, all the other kids don't have racist parents.

Nope. Each individual parent can run the school?

Not the main stream propaganda mills.Do you expect to be taken seriously? I realize this delusion is at serious levels, but honestly, where are you getting your information from?

Not talking "banning books" that's a propaganda buzz word the Democratic-media-propaganda ministry uses. Books are available to check out for children of appropriate ages.So banning books will improve test scores? Skeptical.
I might ask you the same question. What psychotic site put these crazy ideas in your head?

It was written for children in primary grades K-5. So, for ages Kindergarten to 5th grade...ABCs is usually something for small children....a middle school kid isn't going to be interested and they know it.Not talking "banning books" that's a propaganda buzz word the Democratic-media-propaganda ministry uses. Obviously no schools are teaching porn to children. That's ridiculous.Do you expect to be taken seriously? I realize this delusion is at serious levels, but honestly, where are you getting your information from?

The Florida mom who sought to ban Amanda Gorman’s poem says she’s sorry for promoting the Protocols of the Elders of Zion
Months before a Miami-area mother persuaded a local school to restrict access to an Amanda Gorman poem, she was posting antisemitic memes on her Facebook page.
Now, Daily Salinas is apologizing for one of those things — and unrepentant about the other.
“I want to apologize to the Jewish community,” Salinas told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on Wednesday. She was saying sorry for a Facebook post she shared in March offering a summary of “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” a notorious antisemitic forgery written more than a century ago in Russia.
“I’m not what the post says,” Salinas said. “I love the Jewish community.”
Salinas’ post about the Protocols included a list of steps depicting how “Jewish Zionists” would achieve world domination. The graphic included stages such as “Place our agents and helpers everywhere,” “Replace royal rule with socialist rule, then communism, then despotism,” and “Sacrifice people (including Jews sometimes) when necessary.”
Salinas confirmed that the post about the “Protocols” was hers and apologized for it, saying she hadn’t read it beyond the word “communism.”. . . “I see the word ‘communism,’ and I think it’s something about communism,” she said. “I didn’t read the words.”
Funny thing, this is NOT banning - the books will be available for older children. "Banning" is just a trigger word the Democrat-Media-Collusion uses to incite their pliant disciples.
Some interesting information has come out about the one parent who filed the complaint in the Miami school.
We already know that Ms Salinas is rather poorly educated but her words following the discovery of her posting anti-Semitic tropes on Facebook reveal even more of her ignorance - and bias.
How many of the 'parents' pushing for book bans have actually bothered to read the books in question? How many are like Ms Salinas and react after seeing one or two words they can't read past?
I think that's a terrible way to run a school.I think it should be put to a vote of the parents, Josie. Not a complaint by a handful of morally outraged pearl-clutching activists. An actual vote by actual parents with children in that district. If 51% vote to remove, then let them be removed. If they vote for them stay, they stay and that is the end of it.

Nope. As I mentioned earlier, except for extreme, near-pornographic material, most books are merely segregated into age-appropriate divisions. You miss the larger point, conveniently, because hundreds of books have been banned.
- Counts v. Cedarville School District, 295 F.Supp.2d 996 (W.D. Ark. 2003)
Book Challenged: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
A public school student's parent objected to the inclusion of this book in school libraries. Thereafter, the school board voted to restrict access to the book, as well as the rest of the Harry Potter series, by shelving them out of view and requiring parental permission to check them out. The school board's reasoning was that the books encouraged disobedience and involved matters of witchcraft and the occult. The court found that there was no evidence that would have led the school board members to reasonably believe that the books would cause a disruption in the schools were student allowed to have unfettered access to them. Further, it is impermissible to restrict access to books on the basis of the ideas expressed therein. Consequently, the school board's decision to restrict access to the Harry Potter books was found to violate the First Amendment.
