Yes, ummmm, "Before" was when Trump was elected and doing more deals than Biden was as an alleged president. The president of Mexico herself turned away caravans that were headed to the border in December so as not to alienate Trump.

Just the fact we are going to work to secure the border not look the other way has convinced many people to not even make the attempt. The fact that when you are caught you will be deported not rewarded for breaking our laws is the right message to send. People attempting to circumvent our immigration laws should not only be deported but should not be issued a visa. Only people complying with our laws should be issued any visa. It should be clear that law abiding people will be rewarded with a visa and even immigration status while criminals are denied and permanently banned for multiple violations. 3 strikes and you are out for ever.

For those who respect our laws crossing the border should be as simple as an EZ Pass. Once caught breaking our laws you wait in the long line that criminals belong in and multiple offenders again are just permanently banned.

It is time to reward the law abiding and punish the lawless.

Exactly why those who want to let millions seeking entry to "come on in" isn't always clear, even to themselves. Ten to Fifteen years ago an international survey found 160,000,000 who would move into the US tomorrow if it was permitted. And I am sure that today even more would do so if they had a chance.

Securing the border has never been expected to 100 percent prevent illegal entry, even the Berlin Wall and East German border had a few managing to find a way through - it didn't make Soviet and East German efforts to stem millions from leaving ineffective.

It isn't even debatable that when the US has an unfriendly President who isn't a rollover, millions who might otherwise try don't. And it is also indisputable that when someone is very welcoming, such as Biden, those same millions will appear at the US border with T-Shirts praising Biden and expecting entry.

I have no idea, besides stepping up deportations on criminals, what the Trump administration is planning. But a first step is to obey the law, challenge a consent agreement, pressure a change to the shadow docket and get serious about law enforcement. Indeed, I would welcome a low tolerance for adults and laws that provide:

Two thousand miles of a border wall, based on the same security systems Israel uses to seal off the west bank. The use of patrol roads, barbed wire, concrete walls, guard towers, vehicle trenches, and even vehicle disabling triggered (not personnel) mine fields would be most useful. I see nothing wrong with the use of deadly force, if necessary, to secure our borders and stop any human wave of invasion. And nothing in this violates international law, that I know of.

Visa overstays of more than 30 days punished as a misdemeanor or lowest class felony for the first offense. Thirty days in jail and deportation would be mandatory. (Naturally there would be exceptions for unavoidable circumstances).

A second violation of illegal entry and/or residence would be a felony. Not less than six months or more than one year of hard labor, likely at the border building more obstacles to illegals.

Equally severe punishment of employers who knowingly, or should have known, they were employing illegals. The only temporary exception would be for existing illegal agricultural field workers.

Mass roundups, similar to that of Eisenhower's Operation "Wetback". A successful effort that caused up to two million illegals to return to Mexico.

Modification of the reunification of families allowance to include only nuclear family members.

Enforcement of Asylum law as a strict quota and only applicable as written, not fancifully interpreted by liberal immigration judges and liberal administrations.

Finally, unaccompanied minors should be deported back to their home countries.

A moratorium on all immigration, save for those that can serve a vital national security interest, until these efforts are undertaken and immigration laws revised to be based on merit, as it is done in most other countries (eg Canada, Austrailia, and NZ).
 
In reference to the above, tough border enforcement is required to sharply reduce the human herds that periodically descend upon the border. Any violation of US borders withoug legal permission through a port of entry is absolutely illegal and the law must be enforced. Any adult freely choosing to transgress in spite of this are making a choice for which they, not the US people, bear the consequences.

This as true of the illegal as it is of human traffickers, drug cartel members, and any other adult of any nationality that insists on violating our sovereignty.

Biden was a loyal party puppet. He did what he was told and they threw him under the bus when they were done with him. The real disappointment was Harris. With Biden clearly running nothing she had an opportunity to show us she was ready to take the helm. She was handed the border problem and made it so much worse the democrats were handed their backsides in the last election. She may be the next person thrown under the bus.
 
It is not fair to the millions of law abiding people all over the world that want to immigrate to this country to put criminals to the front of the line. This immigration policy of rewarding people circumventing our laws should never have been allowed. It is about time it has come to an end.
 
100% agreed and all serious and substantial arguments that should be followed.

What Trump is doing now is being seen across the world, because Biden and Komala extended the intentional importation of "new comers" to her pet immigrants in areas she is fond of like Haiti, Venezuela, Columbia. All people today have access to the internet and news, and they are seeing that Trump is serious. Gangs now know that if they come here and are caught, they are sent to Gitmo. As much as they may want to rape America and its females they don't want to go to Gitmo. Entries are now at a trickle because we have a president who is doing what he campaigned on and what most all Americans want.

As I have said, follow the Benjamins. Sanctuary cities and states net more per illegal immigrant than it costs them when they buy things here, rent apartments, work in jobs that Americans would take if it weren't for them. They were Biden's devious way of keeping inflation down and employments numbers up. I wasn't aware that she had such power, but Pam Bondi is stopping aid to sanctuary states and cities. THAT will cause them to think. Combine that with arrests of criminal illegals and getting them out of those cities and you have the start of something big.

29 states refuse to use E-Verify. We all know why now. They WANT illegals. Congress needs to pass legislation that is constitutional to combat states and cities flaunting the intent to punish states and cities that harbor illegals. When that happens, your plan can and should be implemented.

Soros and his son were regular visitors to the Rainbow House. He gave Soros a medal. We will never know who the players were behind Biden, but I believe Soros and Mini-Me were two of them. I think Obama and Blinken would be others. Biden never did work hard or accomplish anything at all as a Senator. They told him to just relax and sign whatever they put in front of him and read a monitor for a minute or so. He had no clue he signed an executive order about Natural Gas.

He didn’t get the operation’s name right.

I read the headlines, and it is similar to some garbage from another poster that January crossings were very low. Complete liberal lunacy. Trump was elected in November and the Mexican president knew he wasn't going to stand for illegals, so SHE stopped caravans and made them turn back.

But, please tell me the policies Biden implemented to create this reduction when all along he said needed Congress to do it?
