The GOP is eating its own.
What a clown show.
We're okay with that. Anything else?

Completely understandable. Most think he is because he can't stand Hillary.
Interesting stories - thanks.
And to add: What I think really sinks candidates, is not just any actions or words, but actions & words that fit their negative narrative (irregardless of whether the narrative is true - it may simply be political typecast by one's opponent)
To wit:
- Gov Romney's '47%' remark.
- Rep Mc Carthy's 'political motivation'.
Someone needs to draft Trey Gowdy for this job now.
He's mentally defective. He's been hopping around the halls of Congress with one foot in his mouth for a long time.
Losing Boehner and McCarthy in the same month is great news for the Republicans.
We're okay with that. Anything else?
Yes, that thought occurred to me, too: They claim the wanted him replaced even when he was in office - but they can't agree on someone better to replace him! Here is the key operative language in this particular news bite:
"Boehner said in a statement he will remain in his post until a new speaker is elected, though he has yet to announce the date for the new vote."
Looks like good old Boney is here to stay for a while !!
How funny !!
I know you're OK with a clown show. The GOP has been one for about a decade or two.
We're okay with that. Anything else?
Nobody has the votes. Back to Boehner?
Well, true. But I honestly can't think of a single less qualified candidate for Speaker on the Republican side than McCarthy.
It must be dirt that not everybody knows. Known dirt isn't interesting for blackmail.

Pretty much anybody can be the speaker, so I've heard rumors of Gingrich getting dusted off, but the latest rumor is draft Ryan.
You better pay attention to your own ****, Hillary is sinking fast so you'll be voting for the Commie.
The GOP party bosses must have told him that after sticking his foot that deep in his mouth over Hillary that his pipe dream was now over.
I can't believe he said it !!!
I don't have a problem with it being true.
I just can't believe he said it !!!
Leave Congress and go back to being a prosecutor? I hope not. I think he's awesome.

I just heard that a couple of days ago. Another representatlive (don't remember his name) was being interviewed about replacing Boehner and Gowdy's name came up. The rep stated Gowdy hasn't said he wants it but there is a growing number in the House that are encouraging him to run for it. Stay tuned......
If you knew anything about the wacko Ryan you would know better than to suggest such an insane thing.
The dysfunction began years agoFrom CNN:
"The move came without warning as House Republicans were in a closed-door meeting to select their nominee for speaker. Boehner has postponed the vote.
Boehner is poised to resign at the end of the month and there is no clear successor who can unite the conference and win the post. An influential group of conservatives endorsed a long-shot candidate, Rep. Daniel Webster, on Wednesday, throwing McCarthy's ability to win the House floor vote later this month in doubt."

The dysfunction has long proceeded this and is just icing on the cake.
Let the dysfunction begin!
They prefer the circle jerk that serves to symbolize the Dem Party.
I swear, seeing how they're ready to nominate a multiple felon it's clear no one is ready to throw up their hands & step out of that circle.
I honestly don't know who the guy was. None of those names ring any bells.Heya Vesper. Was it Webster, or Chaffetz.![]()
Maybe now, Jeb Hensarling. Who was going to challenge Boehner last time around. But decided to stay where he was.
