The link to the article is broken/not working for me.
Park ridge is a pretty large town and wonder which Mayor are you talking about ?
Chicago already has some pretty strict gun rules, see here:https://portal.chicagopolice.org/portal/page/portal/ClearPath/About%20CPD/Firearm%20Registration
Hmm - I could have sworn that measures like this were already in place.
No?
What do you by measures were put in place?
When I bought my rifle I had to apply - had to wait through a background check - this all goes into a database, doesn't it? I already thought that keeping tabs on such info was necessary.
No. The NICS (federal) check is designed to make sure that you, the purchaser, are not prohibited from purchasing a firearm. No information at the federal level is supposed to be retained. However, the gun dealer will retain a record of your purchase at the local level. Other than the dealer record, there is no 'tab' kept. When I bought my rifle I had to apply - had to wait through a background check - this all goes into a database, doesn't it? I vote for "forcefully drowned in a puddle". Why a puddle you ask? Simple, there is nothing less dignified than being drowned in less than 5 inches of water. What Can I say-the Mayor is an asshole and he should be stripped of any armed police protection and he should post a sign on his door at his home and office saying its a gun free zone

Not sure TD. But what an embarrasing way to go.didn't a holy roman emperor drown that way-fell of his horse and couldn't get up due to his armor?
I looked it up. Fredrick I or Barbarosa, legend has it he was taking a drink at the Saleph river and because he didn't take off his armor the current swept him away.didn't a holy roman emperor drown that way-fell of his horse and couldn't get up due to his armor?
