Masters starts today anyone watching! Sunk 20 dollars on Ian Poulter at 100-1 to win the thing, would love to see Tiger come back and win one again but my head is telling me rory mcilroy will take this!

Look at Fred couple in the lead good stuff! Great 2nd day with young Rory getting his act together, should be a great last 2 days

Freddie winning at 52 would be the feel-good story of the year. I'm rooting for him, even though Phil is my favorite golfer.

Westwood is still in with a shout

It'll be exciting to watch Phil tomorrow in the last group. I have been kind of hoping against hope that Tiger would turn a corner maturity wise after all his trials (injuries and self induced problems), but it is apparent he is as unprofessional a golfer as we have ever seen when its not going his way. I've kind of given up on him to be honest after he kicked the club on the ground. I don't think he will break Jack's major record (although I think he may tease us with getting to 17), but I do think he will break Snead's record for most tour victories.

I've always thought Tiger to be a jerk.

Go Phil!!!!

Another great year for the masters. The last few years they have done a superb job of setting up the course as it was designed to play as the tournament. Bobby Jones envisioned a tournament that offered a lot of thrilling shots. Unlike what the U.S. open often does, with the exception of last year (don't expect another pushover) Major tournaments often times go for too much torture.

But Agusta national is no pushover. It can go south in a free fall for the best in the world if they are just a little off. Just a couple of wayward shots and a bulky putter will lead to what happened to Fred couples today. That is all it takes.

Phil Mickleson is quickly becoming the modern day Arnold Palmer of this tournament. He plays much like him, is the most charismatic and likable player in the field. What many may not remember is that it took PM many years to figure out how to win majors. Once he finally did, he hasn't looked back since. I doubt anyone would get good odds on betting for him to win tomorrow, but, he still has the course in front of him and he will always have the loose shots that can come out of nowhere. The Masters brings out more of the best in him than any other tournament. He may be one back, but its his tournament to lose.

Tiger is at a precipice in his career. Both physically and mentally. Physically he simply needs to get back to the swing he had 10 years ago. It does appear he is a little closer recently. It still has a ways to go though. Unfortunately, he has a hard time sticking with people who work for him. When things aren't perfect, it appears he becomes far too demanding of them. He has burned some serious bridges. His work with Hank Haney was a disaster. His swing was a total mess and he has not yet fully recovered from that mess.

Mentally, he had a fall from grace that he has not yet accepted. Right from the beginning he developed a super tight inner circle and alienated himself from everyone else. Sooner or later that will result in a train wreck as people who do this lose touch with reality. Tiger has so few to turn to, and needs to become one of the guys, or at least accept that he has had a fall from grace and will need to rebuild himself mentally.

He needs to change his persona and become more personable. He needs to drop the larger than life attitude. In doing so I believe that he will adjust his expectations back to where they need to be, at least in the rebuilding stage.

I think it is a 50-50 if he does this. Even if he does, for some, when your times is up for winning, its up and there is nothing you can do about it. It has happened to many of the best in the world. In the prime of their career, the winning dried up. Arnold Palmer at the age of 34 won his last major. He won them all from 58-64. Not really a long time at all. Tom Watson suddenly stopped winning in his 30's as well. He has stated that he actually played better in his late 30's and early 40's overall but just couldn't win. Tiger is not handling his dry spell well at all. Whether it is a permanent one or not remains to be seen. It will be one if he does not change his mindset.

I think Tiger made a mistake getting rid of his caddie

Oosthuizen double eagles the 2nd (only the 4th DE n Masters history) to take the lead at -10.

Oh, and he threw the ball to a patron.

What a second shot on the second playoff hole.

Well, if Phil couldn't win, I'm glad that Captain Pinkclub won the jacket.

Frankly, if I never see Tiger on another leader board, I won't shed a tear.

Captain pinkclub lol. I was thinking maybe he was making a gender preference statement with all the pink... come to find out though it is all for charity purposes.

Phil had the dreaded misfire that cost him the tournament. He pars the 4th rather than his triple bogey and he wins by one. Ok, its the what if... but that is what happens with him. Out of no where comes the swing from hell.

While the 2nd shot from B. Watson was impressive, it actually is not as hard of a shot as what it appeared to be on TV. He had a good lie, and didn't have to mess with the trajectory. He just had to turn it hard, but that is not a hard thing to do for these guys. probably picking the right club for that shot is the most impressive part. His run of birdies was the most impressive thing to me and what gave him the V IMO.

As for TW... Its kinda painful to watch, but I have to think that he has gotten into such a bad place in his head. There is so much discussion about the club kick on 16 . Yeah, its unprofessional. What he should have done is take the 9 iron and and smacked himself in the head with it a few times for whatever the F-k he was thinking. That is the easiest shot of the tourney for these guys. All he and everyone else needs to do is hit a nice smooth short iron shot at the pin. What TW was trying to pull off by going to the extreme edge of the box and do whatever it was he was trying to do, I wonder if TW even knows. But that is what is wrong with him. All kinds of exaggerated practice swings, playing extreme shots and angles which should be the most simple.

He has reinvented his swing numerous times now. None of the other greats ever made such drastic overhauls. If you can win multiple major championships with it, its best not to fix what ain't broke. What does need to be fixed is his head. That is what needs the drastic overhaul.

Good to see Bubba win it. It would have been a snoozer if Oosthuzen would have won. McIlroy, Westwood or Mickelson would have made exciting winners too.
