In any case, that doesn't change the fact that gambling in the futures markets is NOT an indication of the economy. It just means a lot of people are leaving their own financial futures in the hands of gamblers.

It wasn't the first time either. Part of me wants Powell to go so we can watch Trump crater faster.

Buuuuuttttt if he leaves next summer and trump does his thing instead of this slow death it will be great for the midterms

I want Powell to stay. He's about the only thing holding what's left of the economy together. And he's a million times more patient than tRump.

I get that.

But I also feel like Trumpco customers will not "snap out of it" until they are mourning.

It's nice to imagine some thing which flips their switches w/o drastic events.
I have no idea what that would be though.

Humans sometimes require something shocking and dire before we reconsider things.

I do not want drastic and dire things to happen.
But as I am unable to stop them from happening, let's keep going until we reach the other side.

Do you think the stock market has a duty to only go up? If you look at past years, you will see that the market sometimes goes down.
