MARIJUANA!! The Truth!

You, or somebody else, has recently posted this same video before. It's a video targeting youth. What does that have to do with adults? Adults 25 and over don't have the same negative effects that kids do. And none of that was any reason for it to be illegal.
 
A great picture our government in action: spend time to ban big gulp drinks then legalize marajuana. Is that not the plot for a future Woody Allen film? Oh by the way, anyone notice nothing has been done to avoid the fiscal slide off the cliff? It's getting to be the time to re-write the pledge of allegeance.

Wasnt me I didnt know it had been posted already or I wouldnt not have again...and these are not kids they are young adults and thats when most potheads start down that road.
When are you people going to admit that most long term heavy post smokers are mostly half brain dead...just look at the medicinal smoker idiots on tv...just like any other group that wants what they want...they compare it to something thats accepted like alcohol and say SEE SEE thats worse than what I want...WRONG..it is not worse..its not good but its not as bad either and one bad doesnt make making a WORSE legal. If were going to allow weed then just legalize ALL of them they have as much of a right to their drug of choice as you do to your precious head spinning weed. Then we MUST legalize wood alchohol and moonshine and carbona and let our youth sniff their way to bliss, because its their CIVIL RIGHT...along with allowing the screwing of sheep and anything else we can get to stand still long enough...if a daughter 16 or whatever the legal age is in per state wants to marry her daddy Surrrrrrrrree...its their CIVIL right they are two loving people that love each other, now what could be wrong with that...

Society has to have limits and everyone cant do or have what they want just because they want it...and all the sillyness to justify it is just bs...because you can just keep on justifying things as you climb down the ladder into the cess pool until you drown...and no im not a religious freak.
Or maybe we should take all laws off the books...ALL LAWS that restrict peoples CIVIL RIGHTS to do what they want...no more cops...do whatever you want...then a decade or two from now...there will be only half or less as many people on the planet...how could that be a bad thing right.

I can tell from the all the caps and stuttering that you are very, very passionate about locking people up for victimless crimes. You can cry and whine all you want about how bad it is for you, nobody gives a **** about what you have to say about it, it's going to be legal. Paint and airdusters are legal, and that **** is way, way worse for you than marijuana. Cars, guns, knives, fists, cancer, tobacco, alcohol, ice, rocks, etc. kill hundreds of thousands a year. Thousands are killed and imprisoned in the drug war each year, and billions are spent. Marijuana has on average 0 documented cases of death caused per year.

You want the government to be your daddy, and if you're really looking for a father figure, I suggest you find it in something else and stop sticking your nose in other people's lives.

It does however show how ignorant you are that you equate it to incest. Your over the top nature doesn't make you look credible.
 
I figured it was another reefer madness, so I didn't click on it.

from the neurological side, it's best for kids to wait to consume mind altering substances until at least their 20s, as the brain is still developing. having pot illegal is counterproductive, as drug dealers don't card. when I was in school, pot was much easier to get than alcohol.

as for the harm it causes, it seems to be below alcohol and miles below cigarettes. it's going to be legal. cannabis as a schedule one illegal substance is a sand castle at low tide.

your a moron, you realize marijuana "destroys your brain" was proven wrong years ago right? there coming on to info that proves that it actully might strengthen brain cells this isnt just just observations, these are true facts, and the only thing in your video that had any actual proof that marijauna could be bad... is that chart made by the DEA.. check this out... PIGS FLYING GOING UP 100%! WOW it says it did so it must be true. we all no that the government certainly never told a lie. all you do is voice oppinions im sure this kind of disucusion isnt based on how you feel, if you want to do that buy a diary... place some cold hard facts next time.

If someone wants to screw themselves up by using drugs then who am I to say no to them as long as they don't hurt anyone else?

I understand keeping this stuff from minors. But adults? I say let them do what they want. If they mess themselves up I don't care. Sorry, I just don't. Their choice, their consequences. You can make the argument that since we will be paying for their health care through the government then we have a say about what they do, but we can't go down that path and retain the right to be a free people. We can't use government health care as an excuse to deny people autonomy.

I do care that we are wasting billions and billions and tearing the heart out of our civil rights fighting this drug war, which in truth is a war against our own citizens who want to use drugs. We have the most people in prison of any country on the planet. The Soviet Gulag in its heyday didn't even come close. What a shameful, shameful indictment of our system of government and laws that is! An many or most of those imprisonments are drug related.

In addition, Latin America is getting torn apart in the process.

Having said that, in this country we decide these things democratically. I'll obey the law and go with what is decided by the democratic process. Reasonable restrictions on human behavior are certainly necessary, I just don't happen to think that making abuse of pot illegal is worth it in terms of the price we pay trying to enforce the law given the effects of pot on people. More importantly, it's not worth the loss of our civil rights or the right of a person to be left alone to do what he or she likes. Yes, rights can be restricted for certain pressing reasons, I just don't think pot use rises to that level.

Yep, this. If you wanted to buy pot in high school, just go down E hall :lol: Getting alcohol was far too much of a pain to even attempt to get.

and that applies to all states because without LEGAL distrubution (requirements: federally legal) the dealers have no companies to steal there custmorers. drug dealers cant go up against factories with perfect rolled jays and you know your **** wont be laced with anything...

You may say "victimless crime" however I have a friend who lost a close relative due to driving while under the influence of marijuana, to say that they aren't a victim doesn't do it justice. Though, marijuana is much less likely to cause these things than alcohol and many other legal substances.

Marijuana didn't kill your friend's relative, the idiot who drove under the influence did. Our laws do not change based on the substance taken by the driver. Whether he was drunk, huffing paint, or high, the consequences are all the same. I'm sure he was punished accordingly.

If I'm reading a comic book while driving instead of paying attention to the road, did the comic book kill you? Or the dumbass driver?

The consumption of marijuana is, and always will be a victimless crime.

Marijuana didn't kill anyone,the person driving under the influence did, that was the crime, not the purchase of weed.

The comic books effects on your driving immediately dissipate into no effect the second you put it down, it does not impair your judgement, it does not slow down reflexes, it does not effect cognitive abilities. The individual was almost certainly not smoking marijuana while in the vehicle, but even substantial amounts of time before driving marijuana could have impaired judgement to drive the car in the first place.

Marijuana was an unnecessary catalyst in the accident, I see no reason for the use of marijuana asides from medicinal purposes or a pathetic attempt to manipulate one's view of the world to feel better. I believe strongly that marijuana should be legalized, but it should also be regulated the same as alcohol, an adolescent is already prone for risky behavior and making marijuana legal to minors just gives them one more way to encourage the behavior.

You don't sound like you've ever smoked pot before. Pot doesn't make you do stuff you know is wrong. You're not in some kind of screwed up state where you can't help yourself but get in the car. When you drive while high it is a conscious decision, and just like if you were on heavy medication, drunk, or huffing paint, you will bear the entire responsibility and consequences of that.

You blamed the comic book and not the person. Shame on you for not recognizing personal responsibility.

Marijuana can have many positive benefits for children and adults regardless of age, it's been proven that caffeine is more addictive than marijuana....
