March 10 GOP Debate

If all hell breaks loose this summer Trump will win in a landslide.

That is trump's plan.
trump calls ben carson a pathological pedophile and trump rolls him out as an endorser the day after another debate.
Trump's ads and open mic comments trash kasich and kasich plays the coward .

Carson intends to hurt Cruz. Kasich is acting like a grown-up.

Kasich is a coward lying about the VP slot.

Kasich couldn't even beat Cruz in his adopted home of Michigan.

Kasich's 54 delegates are closer to Carson's 8 than to Rubio's 155 .

Kasich would beat Hillary by double digits.

The protests help Trump. In any case, unless Kasich is the Repub nominee I doubt I will vote.

I hear that deflection from supposed anti-trump gops.
One thing gops always do, they vote.

Carson barely trails Kasich in the category of spineless coward .

To be fair, it wasn't Mathews who booted Donahue. It was the network.

He is quite the chatty cathy and frequently interrupts people. But he does let them get their point across IF they are answering the question and stating facts. He is quick to interrupt if someone is doing the sidestep instead of answering a question. I like him. He gets to the heart of things, in his own way. He's also pretty fair to both sides. Although a Democrat, he's a moderate and gushes over Republicans at times.

From what I've heard Mathews lobbied to get Donahue booted by telling the network "he will bring down this network" with his commentary about being against the Iraq war.

I recall Mathews being an early doubter himself.

That's ludicrous. Do you also believe in those emails that make the rounds that purport to say Obama was born in Kenya and is secretly a muslim?

Soon after the show's cancellation, an internal MSNBC memo was leaked to the press stating that Donahue should be fired because he opposed the imminent U.S. invasion of Iraq and that he would be a "difficult public face for NBC in a time of war."[19] Donahue commented in 2007 that the management of MSNBC, owned by General Electric and Comcast, required that "we have two conservative (guests) for every liberal. I was counted as two liberals."

I saw references to what you say, but nothing substantiated. It comes from Donahue himself (which is self-serving), another journalist with no sources cited (just his personal belief). But we DO have a leaked internal memo saying that it was MSNBC the network that didn't want him criticizing the war to the extent that he was.

Now, Matthews probably may have agreed with what MSNBC did. But Donahue, in trying to blame Matthews for the show's cancellation, is looking to blame someone other than his own actions or those of his network's, IMO. Donahue seems to believe that Matthews felt threatened by Donahue's show. I doubt that. Matthews' main competitor was Keith Olbermann, a VERY liberal and anti-war MSNBC show host, and more hostile and rude about things he disagreed with than Donahue would ever even think of being.

But in the end, what determines show cancellations is ratings, until something major affecting the network happens. They hired anti-war, ultra-liberal Olbermann, who kept his show until he was fired for his own actions that were against company policy.
