March 10 GOP Debate

In Ohio he does not even need to take notice of Trump.

kasich better hope ohio dems cross over, since their primary is modified.
oh wait, those dems have been voting for trump .

[emoji38] no he doesn't. He has no mathematical potential to get to 1237, and wouldn't be acceptable to that many delegates, or the party.

Kasich at this point has only slightly better odds of becoming President than Been Carson.

What do you think of has ben carson supporting filth that has called him a pathological pedophile ?

A thread I started:

Brutus:
There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

Julius Caesar Act 4, scene 3, 218–224
Shakespeare's famous line may have a timely illustration. Is John Kasich taking the tide to fortune?

Could Kasich Be a Contender?

". . . The fact that he's been discounted for so long may finally be working to his advantage. It appears that, to the extent that rank-and-file Republicans have an opinion of him, he seems boring, safe, the classic guy you don't fall head-over-heels for, but might be the one you'd be wise to settle for. And to your traditional Republican voter -- or at least the kind who's scandalized by Trump's increasingly vulgar boasting -- boring might suddenly become a really compelling trait.

Could he win enough delegates to avoid a contested convention? Not a chance, a fact Kasich understands. His plan is all about winning Ohio, which he has very good chance of doing next week, and then pulling off an upset at the convention. How? By offering himself as a consensus candidate for a deeply fractured party. . . ."

Kasich is not a consensus candidate. At MOST the furthest "Establishment" we could push it would be Rubio, but even that would spark revolt to an extent. Cruz, at this point, is the only plausible unity candidate for a deeply divided party.

Cruz is unelectable. Kasich beats either Dem by a wide margin.

This lead will grow.

That's the first poll showing kasich leading--all the others show trump with a larger lead in ohio.
So trump brings out the long knives and kasich cowers instead of capitalizing on trump's goon squads in missouri.

kasich couldn't even beat cruz in his backyard of michigan, let alone trump.
I now expect him to pull a carson .

Kasich is in good position to win the nomination.
No, he isn't. He is in a good position to win VP, but to both the Trump and the Cruz people, he's unacceptable as top man.

All he does past Ohio is give it to Trump.

I have no idea what you're talking about re Missouri. Regardless, Kasich will win Ohio by double digits.

Obama: where else can a young boy born in Calgary grow up to run for President of the United States?

trump riots have the potential to push the African-American vote out as with Obama.

While Bernard's bellyachers will cancel the AA vote by not turning out if bernard isn't the nominee.

kasich is more spineless every day .

just google "trump st. louis"
you're a smart guy.

trump is pounding kasich with hit ads in ohio.
pretty tough stuff .

File "Trump St. Louis" under "stuff I don't care about."

Trump's bullets will bounce off in Ohio.

I can't stand him. He's a bully who has no desire to hear anything anyone else has to say because he loves his own voice so much.

He's one o those people who you talk to and while you are talking you can see him ignoring you because he's too busy trying to think of what he wants to say next... then he interrupts you with what he thought of before you can ever finish.

On top of that, I can't forgive him for having booted Donahue off of MSNBC back when he was the only voice on TV against the runnup to the Iraq war.

To be fair, it wasn't Mathews who booted Donahue. It was the network.

He is quite the chatty cathy and frequently interrupts people. But he does let them get their point across IF they are answering the question and stating facts. He is quick to interrupt if someone is doing the sidestep instead of answering a question. I like him. He gets to the heart of things, in his own way. He's also pretty fair to both sides. Although a Democrat, he's a moderate and gushes over Republicans at times.

Matthews is the number one chameleon in the business.
Watch him dart high and low on a candidate, as he did to Bernard, depending on whether they are low and high in the polls .

You will care this summer when trumpolitics causes all hell to break loose.

Remind when the last bullet from trump, as you call them, didn't hit their mark.
Trump loves him some 2nd amendment .

If all hell breaks loose this summer Trump will win in a landslide.
