That’s mostly it. It has little to do with actual policy. He’s a prolific liar, and a bully. He’s good at using lawyers - what many of his people call ‘law fare’ to harass and intimidate people. The republicans have, for years, cheated by gerrymandering, and have been way better at that that the Dems. All things considered, it was almost a perfect storm that has allowed Trump back into the White House. He wants that power. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how to do much good with it.
Oh, personal attack because you still don't have anything to support your supposition. Why is that? Here's a small, small clue: check the population figures. Check the laws. I know, that's more complicated, but you know, facts. Here is the deal, I went to google and searched the election results for 2020 and 2024 for Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona. 3 states you picked. Rather than counter my statement that the vote counts were higher in 2024 in each state than in 2020, you went with the limp reply. Feel free to show that my statements were incorrect if you can, but you are manifestly unfit to do so.
If you can't take it, don't dish it out. You have an unexpressed theory, but no facts. Express your theory with facts and I'll point out the flaws of your argument. Don't worry, I won't be holding my breath for you to reply.Oh, personal attack because you still don't have anything to support your supposition. Why is that? Here's my reply: educate yourself so you'll stop embarrassing yourself. Your analysis has less depth than a light drizzle. I note, you still have provided no facts, just your own conclusions. Here is your bullshit, in case you forgot: "In some cases (NC, GA, AZ), Republican voter suppression efforts were successful."Here's my reply: educate yourself so you'll stop embarrassing yourself. A few things here. Trump had 4 years of campaigning along with 4 years of allied media pushing his BS. Harris had just 100 days, was a black woman and for the most part unknown. She had no time to get a decent message going. Trump barely won with 1.5% of the popular vote. The only people he ever beat were two women, which have inherently been handicapped in American presidential politics.
So how well did Trump actually do?
For the educationally impaired and/or stubborn in this conversation... see if you can suss out the fundamental defect in your assertion...Here is your bullshit, in case you forgot: "In some cases (NC, GA, AZ), Republican voter suppression efforts were successful."
Here are the numbers you requested, better get the equipment ready to move your goalposts.
I'll even include a link to my source since you never seem to remember how to include a source.

Net International Migration Drives Highest U.S. Population Growth in Decades
The U.S. population grew by nearly 1.0% between 2023 and 2024, according to the new Vintage 2024 population estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.www.census.gov
That is my last response to your deflection posts. Basic math should be sufficient. Here's a hint: you may need to calculate percentages. If that's too difficult, the census has supplied them. I cannot be responsible for your lack of comprehension. I do appreciate, though, your willingness to prove my point, if inadvertently. Now, back to the actual topic of the thread...
I'd call it a second honeymoon for Trump. He's not yet in a position where he's accountable for the nation's problems, but that will come soon enough.Something is going on across the US with the demographic shifts towards Trump that I can't get my head wrapped around. I was expecting a easy victory for Kamala but she way underperformed in a lot of voter blocks.
Obviously, the Democrats missed it as well............ ya know, the smartest people in the country?
Oh come on! We've just had 4 years of Fox's constant dunning descriptions of a senile and incompetent Biden ruining a bustling economy and 6 months of how a promiscuous Ms. Harris traded sexual favors for cushy positions for which she was unqualified and preformed incompetently. This is the problem with demonizing the opposition to the degree the far left does. It creates incredibly awkward moments like where voters look at your candidate, and then they look at "Hitler," and then they chose "Hitler." There's just no way for the fringes of the American left to process that.
I agree Trump is unfit for office, but just how bad are the Democrats at this point that they would lose so comprehensively to someone like that?

She claims she's Jamaican and Indian, not black., was a black woman
That is what the Democratic Party desperately wants to understand . . .How bad Democrats are at this point:
Jamaicans all came from Africa. She a colored woman. Not that semantics really matter to bigots. She claims she's Jamaican and Indian, not black.
Democrats seem so disconnected from what voters want because of RWE messaging. They are clearly better at it. The problem is, it's all lies and misinformation. People are generally not that smart. When everyone starts losing benefits from the new RW agenda, the thing to remember is that the liberals fought for and for the most part got you those benefits. That is what the Democratic Party desperately wants to understand . . .
New research shows the massive hole Dems are in
Why Democrats seem so disconnected from what voters want
RWE messaging is responsible for the hole? I don't think so. Democrat apparatchiks are as skilled and talented as Republican apparatchiks, maybe more so. Any outsider who watched from start to finish a Trump rally probably slapped his forehead and gasped, "how could Hariss lose?"Democrats seem so disconnected from what voters want because of RWE messaging. I don't consider "Trump Rallies' part of the RW messaging machine. The RW messaging machine was started with Rush Limbaugh way back 20+ years ago. Trump rallies were just comedy shows for the uneducated.RWE messaging is responsible for the hole? I don't think so. The answer is shaping up to be as a whole the national Democratic Party moved too far to the extreme left too quickly and left middle America behind. Best that can happen now is over the next two years Trump's administration proves to be the ineffective government failure progressives hope it will be.
All the developed countries of the world have universal health care or single payer insurance except the US. How are Democrats extreme left in wanting what the rest of the world has?The answer is shaping up to be as a whole the national Democratic Party moved too far to the extreme left too quickly and left middle America behind.
Why would anyone want this country to fail. Democrats are desperately hoping that someone behind Trump, managing him, keeps him from causing the failure of the government.Best that can happen now is over the next two years Trump's administration proves to be the ineffective government failure progressives hope it will be.
It is easier for people to latch on to very simple minded platitudes when actual analysis is beyond their ability. That's nice.
My larger point stands. You're making a mistake when you think the only reason Trump won is voter stupidity.
So you'd like a checklist with boxes I've checked off? Forget about it. I'm reporting what progressive focus groups are unearthing in their surveys. Don't like what's being reported? Oh, well. See how far this extreme mantra carries the day: "Or perhaps your interpretation of a more perfect union is one run by wealthy white males, for wealthy white males with the legal power to run rough shod over everyone that isn't wealthy, isn't white, and isn't male." That is so passé . . . and as the election just showed, defunct. All the developed countries of the world have universal health care or single payer insurance except the US. How are Democrats extreme left in wanting what the rest of the world has?
Are Democrats too far left in trying to see that all people, minorities, LGBT people, immigrants, the handicapped, elderly, women, children ... everybody has an equal opportunity to be healthy, educated, live without harassment, be treated justly, have their country defended and see that they participate in all of society's opportunity
Our Constitution says that's exactly what we are trying to do when we say "to form a more perfect union" How is that too far left? Or perhaps your interpretation of a more perfect union is one run by wealthy white males, for wealthy white males with the legal power to run rough shod over everyone that isn't wealthy, isn't white, and isn't male.
Why would anyone want this country to fail. Democrats are desperately hoping that someone behind Trump, managing him, keeps him from causing the failure of the government.
I'm assuming you are trying to be helpful by noting that the Democrats are out of step with the rest of the country. However, you haven't said what was too extreme. A check list of policies and practices that are too far left would really be helpful. I haven't seen any focus group articles on what is too extreme and it's pretty hard to change when you don't know what to change. Any help will be appreciated. So you'd like a checklist with boxes I've checked off? Forget about it. I'm reporting what progressive focus groups are unearthing in their surveys. You need the center to win and to keep those progressive goals within reach.
Just put online for public access is Navigator Research's Focus Group Report: New Trump Voters and Non-Voters on the Next Trump Administration. It is not demonizing to say that Trump lacks empathy, avoids responsibility, is involved in criminal behavior, is unethical, blames others, has a pathological need for attention. If you think the Democrats, during the campaign, should have been characterizing Trump as chaste, honest, youthful, experienced and qualified for the presidency I'm sure there are people willing to have that discussion with you. Frankly it is it is Republicans who are not processing the strange and unhealthy elements that are taking over their party.
