A man was fatally stabbed Monday evening while inside a Maryland Popeyes following a fight over a chicken sandwich, a source told Fox News.
Prince George's County police said they received reports of a fight at a Popeyes location in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill, Md., on Monday at around 7 p.m. Oxon Hill is about 20 minutes from Washington, D.C.
Prince George's County police have not said what the fight was about. However, FOX 5 reported that the altercation began after someone cut the line as people waited to order Popeyes’ popular chicken sandwich, which returned to the fast-food chain on Sunday.

I feel kind of bad for laughing at that line.....but damn if it ain't the truth.
The headline is a tad misleading since the fight appears to have been over line cutting, not specifically about what was on the menu. This is much like saying that a road rage incident was caused by where the assailant was going (to buy a six pack?) rather than being delayed en route by the other motorist.
True dat.
I was thinking they might going for a "crime of passion" defense.
"Love that chicken from Popeyes."

Personally, even though I do like Popeyes fried chicken, I think they discriminate.
In my town, the only place you will find a Popeyes is 3 or 4 blocks either side of MLK Blvd.
Does anyone here, living in a lily white neighborhood, have a nearby Popeyes? Just curious.

I do not live in a "lily white" area. Kyle, TX is (45%?) non-Hispanic white, (46%?) Hispanic and has very few (6%?) black folks but we have a Popeyes.
