Mamdani ahead of Cuomo and others by about 20 points in new Siena College poll.

NYC Registered Voters Give Mamdani 19-Point Lead Over Cuomo, 44-25%, Sliwa Third & Adams Fourth

Among the 39% of registered (not likely) voters from New York City included in this poll, 44% say they support Democrat Zohran Mamdani, compared to 25% who support independent Andrew Cuomo, 12% for Republican Curtis Sliwa and 7% for independent incumbent Mayor Eric Adams.

“While City Democrats favor Mamdani over Cuomo 53-32%, with single digits for the other two, more than two-thirds of City Republicans support Sliwa. City independent voters are more closely divided, with 30% supporting Mamdani and 20% supporting Adams,” Greenberg said. “City voters under 35 are overwhelmingly supporting Mamdani, as are a plurality of voters 35-54, however, voters 55 and older back Cuomo over Mamdani, 38-32%.”

“Mamdani, included in the Siena poll for the first time, has a 46-32% favorability rating with New York City voters and a negative 28-37% favorability rating among voters statewide,” Greenberg said. “Cuomo has an underwater favorability rating with City voters, 37-54%, and an even worse 29-61% favorability rating with statewide voters, the worst ever favorability rating for Cuomo in a Siena poll. In fact, among Democrats statewide, Cuomo’s favorability rating is 36-56%, down from 51-39% in March.

Adams is also underwater with voters in the City, 30-58%, statewide 22-51%, and among Democrats statewide 22-59%,” Greenberg said. “Sliwa has a 26-30% statewide favorability rating, and 30-42% in the City.”

The NYC subset of the poll only asked 300 people and it was part of a statewide poll of 800 people.

300 people asked is statistically not big enough for a good poll, 800-1000 is the standard.

But there is no question that this Muslim anti-semite is clearly ahead in the city ...

If he goes on to "win" the election with 44% or 46%, he's an illegitimate mayor in my opinion.

NYC doesn't have a runoff or RCV in general elections, so someone can even win without a majority of all votes cast. Crazy.

If he wins with 50%+, it's at least legitimate. And legitimately crazy that such a fundamentalist Muslim antisemite can win in a city where radical Muslims killed 3000 NYers once ... young people are often really crazy (see how his favorables are best with young NYers). These young people should rather go to work and support sane candidates, not radical Muslims who want to get rid of Jews.

The Democrats are showing real time just how low in the barrel they have to dive offering up the likes of Coumo and Mamdani. They learned nothing from their epic fAiL called Kamala.

Keep up the good work Dems.

We appreciate your support

Thank you.

We prefer candidates like Mamdani over a party that protects pedophiles.

And to set the record straight - Cuomo was beat in the primaries. He lost. People did not want him. He chose to include himself in the general election. He wasn't "offered up".

I love this thing where Mamdani is called a fundamentalist Muslim because it makes him scarier.

Cuomo was outright rejected by Democrats by a large margin.

I’m really pulling for Mamdani. I hope he smokes the opposition. 👍

While he will probably be an adequate mayor for the people who live here… the tickling of the amygdala that right wing outrage for everything that he does is going to be priceless.

They haven’t had a brown person with a strange name to be scared of in a while.

Well thats a stupid thing to say and the only reason you say it is because you cant address the actual objections to the man which are his embrace of communism and anti-Semitism. But I hope he wins. You Marxists need to see your ideology in action.

If the people of NYC want to elect Mamdani, I support them completely. It would be a great gift to conservatives with the midterms coming up next year to have him live up to expectations.

He isn’t a communist and he has broad support in the Jewish community.

But I know… I know… he is a scary brown guy with a funny name and man… it has been a while since we had one of those.

The guy is a commie with zero experience of running anything but his mouth. If dems are stupid enough to put a guy like that in charge of NYC, then so be it.

He is a communist. Educate yourself.

Maybe, if the NY governor and NYC city council let Mamdani have his way. Of course, there’s also the possibility that Trump does something stupid in retaliation.
