Recent polling shows. CNN is stunned.

The Supreme Court handed the Trump administration a major deportation victory on Thursday. On the same day, the GOP-led House passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in a narrow 218–214 vote—legislation that paves the way for over one million deportations annually. Meanwhile, the first illegals arrived at "Alligator Alcatraz" in the Florida Everglades, with outbound flights soon to follow. With these massive wins stacking up, Trump has secured yet another victory: the hearts of the American people, who overwhelmingly support this effort to restore national security.

At a minimum each individual should documented prior to deportation as thoroughly as possible, and if not permanently banned from legal entry to the U.S., given a date after which legal entry might become allowed.
Asylum, naturalization, temporary/permanent residency in the U.S. should only be possible for those who have entered the U.S. legally. Due process for anyone suspected of Illegal entry, need only be confirmed by the lack of or a fake/invalid arrival departure number, which after documenting the individual, by law should result in deportation.

From the looks of it, the polls predate Jan 22.

Do you suppose events since then might have an impact on people’s opinions?
Yes I support events since then.

Illegal immigrants will never all be deported and what you're seeing today with immigrant roundups is nothing more than a reality TV series show for Trumptards to salivate over. The highly publicized roundups give Trumplicans just the feeling they need in their groin region but in reality the numbers are miniscule and will amount to nothing. Kind of like masturbation, feels good but really amounts to nothing. So get it Trumptards, you're being jerked off😂
Now read my lips, America can NOT survive without illegal immigrants. If you even reduced their numbers by say 20% America would fall into financial turmoil and Trump would be mounted on a pole and be incinerated with the GOP running for the hills.
Trumptards you're being delivered the "The Big Show" you voted for all while sitting their in the darkness at this cheap fireworks display provided by your Messiah while having your pockets picked in the process👍👍

Who cares if CNN was stunned by a poll.

Current polling all reflect the fact a majority of Americans do not want all migrants deported. Trump is underwater in most polls when it comes to immigration. Here are recent result from Pew. Others are easily available.

"About six-in-ten registered voters (59%) say that undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. should be allowed to stay in the country legally: 36% say they should be able to apply for citizenship, while 22% say they should be able to apply only for permanent residency.

Roughly four-in-ten voters (41%) say, instead, that undocumented immigrants should not be allowed to stay in the country legally. Most of this group (37% of the overall public) says that there should be a national effort to deport those who are undocumented."

That requires some nuance, as all polls do.

I would count myself among those who favor the deportation of any and everyone who has entered the country illegally and willfully overstayed. But that's me thinking in hypothetical terms. There's a reality that my hypothetical thinking doesn't necessarily speak to. If you're asking me do I want them deported all at once to the point that it shutters agriculture, construction, and other jobs where they fill a void, the answer is, not really. I would imagine that if you probed further, a lot of people who answered 'yes' to that one question would have similar nuances and qualified responses as well.

Its 6 months old. People's attitudes have changed as they watch deportations actually unfold.
Its just transitory.

Yep, it doesn’t make sense to have immigration laws which can be ignored with impunity.

That's because the majority of Americans is right on this issue. They don't want illegal immigrants sh*t on their heads by circumventing legal immigration laws, just because they (or their leftist aiders) think they are entitled to sneaking over the border.

Many entered legally, but have overstayed their ‘temporary’ visas.

But the majority of Americans believe in a pathway to citizenship. So we should get what we want, right?

Yep. Next up: summary roadside executions of anyone caught driving even 1 mph over the 55 mph speed limit.

Does it make sense to have speed limit laws which can be ignored with impunity.
