We have a president who’s made his political career out of demonizing those he feels victimized the base he depends on, and has been stoking those flames since he jumped into the political sphere. The challenge for Liberals and Democrats is not becoming the monster they're fighting, which is a failure point for many people. If you look at how Trump has turned conservatives who would have balked at his behavior in the past into parroting his nonsense, it's clear he corrupts much of what he touches.
