Macron says France will recognize a Palestinian state at UN General Assembly this fall

What legal implications?
Recognition of a state under international law.

Why does most of the world actively undermine the two state solution by recognizing Palestinian statehood without a peace agreement?
Given Gaza is a pile of rubble and the Israeli government just voted to annex the West Bank, what peace agreement do you think they have in mind?

Like I said, ass backwards, as usual.
Israel’s actions in places like the Sinai show otherwise....rather extensively.

And that isn’t even getting into the numerous attacks on villages like Deir Yassin in hopes of terrorizing the Palestinian populace out of the region.

Macron is an idiot.
He supports a two-state solution.
Hamas, Hezbollah along with Iran do not want a two-state solution. They want to destroy Israel and wipe it off the map.
Anyone who agrees with Macron is a moron.
Israel doesn’t want a two state solution.

It wants the Palestinian civilian populace wiped out or ethnically cleansed, and Gaza and the West Bank colonized by its settlers.

The UN or some organization will have to force a two state solution to stop the genocide in Gaza. This is simply recognizing that the world is going to have to force this conflict to an end before Israel wipes Palestinians off the earth.

Hey, so, has anyone been willing to answer the question yet of whether or not rewarding HAMAS' actions (starting this war, making sure it is as brutal and painful as possible and then prolonging it) is going to make them MORE or LESS likely to do things like that in the future?

 Israel is not wiping Palestinians off the earth. If they were, it would look like it, and the casualty rates would have at least another 0 at the end.

Nor can the world force an end to this conflict - no one is willing to do so, because (among other things) that would require coming in and seizing Gaza from HAMAS.

More blind denial because you don’t like having to face up to your narrative being wrecked....again.
Its not blind denial, because I read it in full. It doesn't say that. It does narrate some terrible treatment.

Blah, blah, blah. You are an apologist for one side and an endless accuser for the other.

Do you believe the Palestinians did anything wrong on October 7th?

October 7th is about as relevant at this point as the Spartacist Uprising was to Nazi Germany’s crimes. Israel has murdered well over ten times as many innocent civilians as died on October 7th, and shows no signs whatsoever of slowing down.

Clearly not, because if you’d read at all you wouldn’t be denying the basic facts.

Israel sure is trying, though. The fact they won’t succeed in the end can’t change that reality.

Hey, so given the reality Benjamin Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal, Israel has murdered more innocent civilians in a single year than Hamas has in its entire existence, and Tel Aviv is openly planning to wipe or drive out the entire Palestinian population so they can colonize Gaza without fear of resistance, the facts are more than slightly evident.

It is a shame that people spout such neonazi hate speech. He really should be ashamed of himself.

You're accusing a Jewish professor of Holocaust studies at the Hebrew university of Jerusalem of engaging in neo-Nazi hate speech??? That's a wild take.

Here's more for you.

Two leading human rights organisations based in Israel, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, say Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

So how many Israeli/Jewish experts have to say it's genocide before you stop accusing them of being Nazis?

Yup, bullshit response.

It is merely a factual description of what he is actually doing.

Neonazi organizations tend to falsely accuse Jews of committing imaginary atrocities.

I will never stop speaking out against neonazism.

Recognition of a state under international law.
You were saying that there are legal implications of such recognition.

In order for there to be a two state solution, the Palestinians will have to peacefully agree to Israel's existence as a Jewish state.

The UN or some organization will have to force a two state solution
How would they force the Palestinians to agree to a two state solution?

to stop the genocide in Gaza.
This hate speech that you posted is really appalling. Falsely accusing Jews of committing imaginary atrocities is a staple of antisemitism, but falsely accusing them of genocide is beyond the pale of human decency.

How can the Palestinians be forced to stop raping and murdering people? If you actually have an answer to that one, the Israelis would like to hear about it.

That is not going to happen until HAMAS is no longer around and likely to seize control of such a state.
I don't think that matters as all. If this were the case the Knesset wouldn't have voted to annex the West Bank. The ruse might fool some, but not all. Netanyahu and Likud were never going to align with the idea of a Palestinian state regardless of whether HAMAS is in power or not.

By satellite imagery it looks pretty well wiped out. Not to mention when you kick out an already well established aid system then start from scratch is going to leave more starving people than ever before. Israel is responsible for creating this condition.
