Looks like that impeachment backfired.

Here is what I find interesting. In the New Hampshire primary Trump and the Trump Network, er Fox News, are bragging about the turnout Trump received.

Collectively, the Democratic candidates received 2 1/2 times the number of votes Trump got.

Is it a harbinger of the future for the GOP?
Its absolutely something the right should be concerned about. By the same token i think its reasonable to slso say that voter turnout on Trumps dide is expected to be somewhat depressed. Everyone knows he is the nominee. The democrat side is still in a flux and voters are naturally more excited.

The only thing this means is that there are 118,774 dim people in New Hampshire.

The democrat socialists live in a depressing world where so many people are satisfied with Trump's performance.

It what's known as TDS #CRAZYTALK

No, we don’t know all that. But we do know that Trump has yet to ever get 50% of the vote in any contested election.

And he has never hit 50% of the polls, other than Rasmussen and a couple of other more obscure right wing groups.

True, but hate is typically a poor motivator at election time. People are more likely to turn out to vote for someone than against someone.

That’s an odd assertion to be making, since Donald Trump’s entire election and marketing strategy is based on fear and division.

How, we know he will once again lose the popular vote.

We know he won't win the three states that put him over the top by 76,000 votes.

People now realize he is working with foreign Nations to try to fix the election.

We know people are fired up to vote and all the people that stayed ho.e will be out in full force.

Trump has never won a legitimate election and never will...
I dont know how you or anyone on either side can be so confident this far out.
The right needs to be wary of your point that Trump barely squeaked out his victory last time and that was before the all out assault on his character.
The left however should not be taking that to the bsnk as a garuntee of the upcoming outcome.
What you all on the left need yo be concerned about is his attempts to increase his support among unions, minorities, and women.
I only see 3 likely outcomes in november. 1. Democrats win the
presidency by a very narrow margin.
2. Trump eeks out a 2nd term
3. Trump wins by s landslide margin.
Im not confident enough to predict which of those 3 occur (not this early).

Trump got 2x more votes than Obama did in 2012.

More people voted for Obama both times in the actual election... oh and Hillary, Trump conspiracy theories not withstanding.

So... theres also that

I think your underestimating the power of fear. They dont just hate him, they are afraid of what he represents.

While that is kind of a fair point, it is probably a meaningless point. There are variables, such as there really wasn't a Republican primary while there was a Democratic primary so obviously Democrats had more motivation to go out and vote, especially in what everyone suspected to be a close race. Nobody really had to go out and vote for Trump but they did anyway in a record number. And, NH wasn't probably going to go to Trump in the fall anyway so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Weld on the ballot through the primaries will advise everyone of how many Republicans don't accept Trump as the party candidate.

To include states such as Colorado, PA, OH, WI, MI, FL, TX, AZ and so on.

We can expect that as the primary voting continues and the Weld vote accumulates and accumulates the Putin-Trump Rowers are going to perspire increasingly. You guys may need an icebag on your heads even before the primaries conclude in the late spring early summer. Then comes the long hot summer followed by -- the fall.

....a pathologically dishonest mobbed up whore who's been mopping up Democrats since 2016

Your support of a pathologically dishonest mobbed-up whore in charge of the gov't duly noted for the record.

And perhaps you missed the results of the 2018 elections?

What, do you want a medal or something?

You’re trying to infer it’s an indicator of a larger shift, it could be and while I concede Trump could very well win in 2020, he’s unlikely to get more votes than Hillary or Obama did in 08, 12 and 16 and given his unpopularity despite a good economy he’d be unlikely to top his vote count from 16... not impossible but unlikely.

If he wins the likeliest outcome is voter apathy among democrats and they don’t come out to vote in large numbers, America is more liberal than you understand, realize or want to admit, whatever this was is not an indicator of a larger shift at this time.

Trump shouldn't be taken lightly.

Some of you live in an internet bubble where nobody likes Trump. The real world might surprise you come November.

Trump is unleashed.

For four more years Trump would be the most powerful man on the planet. Already he ignores the American people. Answering only to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and "Fox and Friends," he cancelled regular press conferences and is scared to death of the White House press corps. Trump refuses to answer to the American people and now we can add Congress to the list. He will simply ignore what our representatives do and say, and he has hijacked the power of the purse, all due to a complicit Senate led by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

He will rule with complete impunity for four more years (or more). That is the power the Senate gave him.

Trump denounced federal prosecutors’ sentencing recommendation for longtime confidant Roger Stone in a string of tweets early Tuesday, saying seven to nine years in prison was a “miscarriage of justice! ”

“This is a horrible and very unfair situation,” Trump tweeted around 2 a.m., adding, “Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”

On Tuesday the DOJ revoked the sentencing and four prosecutors quit the case. One resigned from the DOJ.

To the American people concerned about a President interfering in a criminal case involving his friend from Trump, IN YOUR FACE!!!

He attacked a federal judge, writing, "Is this the Judge that put Paul Manafort in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT, something that not even mobster Al Capone had to endure? How did she treat Crooked Hillary Clinton? Just asking!"

Today, in a maniacal tone of voice, Trump thanked the DOJ for their cooperation. "I want to thank the Justice Department," he told reporters. "They saw the horribleness of a nine-year sentence."

He added: "You have murderers and drug addicts that don't get nine years. Nine years for doing something that no one can even define what he did."

Trump insisted that his tweets did not amount to political interference and insisted that he had not discussed the matter with the department.

Which is it? Is Trump just plain stupid or does he think Americans are stupid?

In the opinion of many, it is the former. Who does he think he is kidding? Thank you, Republican Senators.

New Hampshire isn't a closed primary. The fact that Trump received a record number of votes should cause the Democrats to worry.

Despite running against 16 opponents, President @realDonaldTrump
won 100% of delegates and the highest number of votes for an incumbent in the modern political history of the New Hampshire primary. This includes both parties!View attachment 67273646

Even CNN protected the President.

As is my custom, I watched both CNN and Fox News today, just as I do every day. Both presented a capsule version of Trump's news conference today with the Ecuadorian president as he tried to explain away his influence on the DOJ in the Stone case. In the capsulated versions Trump sounded quite lucid as both networks carefully edited what Trump said. I can understand Fox protecting Trump, but CNN?

Of course, although CNN is extremely critical of Trump, the network still respects the Office of the President.

But I watched the live, unedited version of the news conference. Trump was, well, wild. In a rambling speech that went on for several minutes, disallowing any questions, he sounded deranged covering topics like Stone, DOJ, Barr, Mueller, the Mueller Report, FBI, Comey, McCabe, Hillary Clinton, Al Capone, and undoubtedly several other topics I forgot. Sitting in my den as I watched this fierce display, I was embarrassed. After all, this man is our President.

Trump Republicans in the Senate not only protected a guilty President, but mentally ill President as well.

Putin owns his parliament so with Trump and the Republican Conservatives in congress it's monkey see monkey do.

So it's how we got the Trump Monkey Trial in the senate, ie, the Putin model on American soil.

The nation needs a second reconstruction to deal with the large number of Republicans who have become what we fought against. Defang 'em.
