Liberals Show their Ugly Side Reacting to Dr. Ben Carson’s CPAC Speech [VIDEO]

Be afraid of a new level of conservative freakiness in using tokens to promote their odious ideology?

Au contraire, let the weirdness reign among the conservatives so they become ever more marginalized ever more swiftly. Conservatism has no future in modern America.

I pretty much know for certain that when Navy tells me to be afraid of someone, they're nothing to worry about.

Instead of insulting watch his speech.

Be Afraid my left wing friends, be very afraid!!!!! This man is a player in the Conservative Independent party.

I'm surprized you are not calling him a RINO NP because of his moderate views. Are you so desperate to have a Republican in the whitehouse that you are willing to discard your deeply help radical right-wing beliefs and vote for a moderate Republican just to get the R.

If he's a moderate, why would liberals be particularly afraid? Obama is a moderate as well. Do you mean democrats? If so you may be right. Unfortunately voting in this country is a team sport. Red team vs Blue team and no one wins by those who run. People tend to get excited about their team winning instead of the other team, even if the candidate that wins is just as bad if not worse than the opposition. Look at Obama vs Romney. All of a sudden die hard social conservatives got behind Romney and pushed him through the campaign even though months earlier they said that there was little difference between him and Obama.

Then we fall into this whole lesser of two evils. I can understand that to a point. The guy you like might not be perfect, but far better than the alternative. But we push some guy that really isn't any better than the alternative, or the difference may be so minor as to prove little to no detriment in future troubles.

Anyway, wow that was massively off topic and a rant. I apologize. It is out there now.

Rome fell 2 hundred years after homosexuals were BANNED from the military and 175 years after Rome became officially Christian, making his "demoralization" of the military spew just that, spew. Christianity caused the demoralization of the army...............

pretty good article.

This part was the most salient IMO

from article said:
Parties evolve, and any student of history can describe the ebb and flow between Democratic and Republican demographics over the centuries. While the success of a Democratic White House in empowering the African American community made the black population largely liberal, this is not a permanent state of being. It’s ludicrous to expect that one racial segment of the American population is expected to share the same political views; that’s not what our democratic system is designed around. And to suggest that the shift within a party to be more diverse and moderate in its membership is just a political ploy rather than a positive movement to a more enlightened way of thinking demonstrates just how jaded we have come in how we view our political system. I hope the Republican party continues down a more inclusive path, and I urge my fellow liberals to stop embarrassing us with hate speech.

I liked his line about the economy ..."It's not brain surgery."

Its a silly debate anyway. The guy would never stand a chance at getting the nomination. There is no way in hell that the right-wing GOP of today would ever give serious consideration to a black candidate...not in this century anyway. He would alienate the base of the party.

Hmmm. Your point, then, is that seeing what happened to Rome we should logically conclude only homosexuals should fight wars?

Man oh man oh man oh man are YOU way off.
No more Ed Schultz for you. Or pretty much anyone else, come to think of it.

You're kind of new here so people may not recognize that biting sense of humor yet.
Welcome.

What Planet are you from? This is exactly the kind of candidate that could be elected..........One is is a moderate but leans right especially on Fiscal issues......

Not true at all. As long as he is a good candidate that they can get behind, I can't imagine they'd have much of a problem nominating him. The "base" you're talking about would even partially push it just to make democrats look stupid for saying things like that.

Welcome to DP my friend...You really can't pay to much attention to DD...He has the honor of being the biggest lefty in DP.

No. Rather that Christianity is a form of intellectual gangrene----------It didn't just destroy the military, it destroyed everything...................

Actually if Dr. Carson was white I think he would be sitting CPAC out with Gov. Christie. Dr. Carson is for an 'Assault Weapon' ban. That would get every one I know barred from CPAC. No way anyone supporting the AWB gets nominated for dog catcher in the GOP.

I guess the 'conservatives' are so desperate to show some diversity they overlook a huge disqualifier in order to have someone who can stand out in the sun for longer than 30 minutes take the stage. When that is done to give an inner city kid a place in a university the 'conservatives' scream a blue streak.

I wonder how many other speakers at the CPAC conference are also for an AWB?

The way the Party(s) are shaping up is that "generally" Independents, Libertarians, & Conservatives will likely align with Republicans while Greenies, Communists, Socialists, Marxists, LIV-ing dependents, will align with the Democrat Party.
I'm okay with that.
