They don't have to prove anything, Trump and Mick Mulvaney all but outright admitted it and Gordon Sondland clearly stated in his testimony that it was a quid pro quo. "something for something"

That would depend on how that withholding was accomplished. If they did so by vetoing the bill funding that aid then it would be legal - if they simply said they would not forward aid appropriated by congress and signed into law then they might be impeached.

It isn't going to benefit them. Then again, it is Trump that is looking for a quid-pro-quo and that is illegal. I think we have to thank Schiff and Pelosi for doing something with little benefit to them for the benefit of the public. Something that Trump should be doing but isn't because his own wants are more important than the needs of the nation, both here and in Ukraine.

As such, I see Schiff and Pelosi being patriots and hero's (giving up their own benefits for the benefit of others) and Trump being a traitor for putting his own goals above those of the nation.

I think you left out the fact that this is not the mutual consideration of two parties to a contractual agreement but the withholding of aid already promised to one nation for the personal benefit of one person.

No one has the right to make decisions for one nation for personal benefit. As such, it is ILLEGAL!

Let's see, your mayor says to a contractor, if you give me a million dollars to me personally, I will sign the contract for you to supply our entire city with your product. In this case, this is totally illegal though it is quid-pro-quo between 2 consenting parties.

Schiftt has failed to move the needle on public opinion polls on impeachment at all even though he conducted one sided hearings in the absence of due process. It can only get much worse for democrats if the case moves to trial in the Senate and we finally force the whistleblower and others to testify under oath.

They are not demanding that Israel open a fake investigation into Donald trump to hurt him politically..

Trump is not even having any real investigations into the people he has accused of felonies..

Sanders and Warren are not receiving any personal benefit by withholding funding from Israel. That's the fundamental difference.

Trump receives a huge personal benefit if Ukraine launches an investigation of Biden -- make a potential Presidential contender look bad.
