Left awfully quiet about Twitter's Hunter Biden supression

When news of the laptop first surfaced, over 50 former intelligence officers said it had all the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign. There were serious questions about its authenticity, and also questions about how, if authentic, it was obtained. Add that to the fact that emails hacked by Russia were used by the Trump campaign in the days prior to the 2016 election, and it makes perfect sense for credible news and social media outlets to clamp down on the spread of what was possibly a malicious foreign influence campaign. That's called responsibility.

Now, years later, it is evident that nothing on the laptop proves any illegal or improper behavior by Joe Biden. Regardless of how the laptop or the information on it were obtained, its release was clearly a partisan set up intended to push Trump over the finish line through innuendo, stigma about sex and drug use, and confusion. It's frankly one of the most cynical and gross political stunts in history, which is entirely fitting for the historically corrupt and immoral politician behind it.
 
How much coverage did the Senate Committee investigating Joe Biden and Hunter in October 2020 get.....you know the one that found no wrongdoing on Joe Biden's part? The Trump campaign, the Trump government, the GOP, and Fox all had access to the copy of the hard drive and only chose to release a few emails and texts all out of context. Why did they not release the smoking gun that is supposedly on that laptop?

Walk me through your definition of "suppression" in this context. Is it your belief that a private company is obligated to provide unfettered access to anyone wanting to make any claims on their forum, and failure to do so is "suppression?" And what specifically you claim that the Biden campaign or Twitter did that was nefarious or illegal? And I thought it was the FBI who was suppressing these stories on Hunter's laptop that would have changed the outcome of the election? Or is it both?

The right's obsession with Hunters laptop and the never ending list of conspiracy theories you folks invent about it are simply deranged. But by all means, keep at it.

Yep, one of the world's largest social media sites, acting on the direction of the DNC, suppresses stories that might harm Joe Biden weeks before the Presidential elections and lied about why they were suppressed.

Hardly anything at all to worry about.

A definition of 'suppression?" Stop the bullshit. You now know Twitter actively suppressed that story, and did so with the guidance of the DNC and the Biden campaign. You also know they lied about why they were suppressing it. That is no longer a debate, it is fact.

Did Twitter break the law, no, they didn't. They have every right to be as politically biased as are you.

Nobody cares about Hunter's laptop because Hunter isn't running and Trump's DOJ didn't indict Hunter despite the FBI having this laptop since 2019. If Hunter goes down it'll be due to the tax investigation that Joe is not interfering with in the least.

Pretty clear the DOJ and FBI is corrupt and aided in hiding things the voters should have had access too. Those government agencies are full of hard core democrats who support anything to protect and advance the party. I don't remember the numbers but there is a signifcant advantage in numbers of democrats in our government and even those in the trenches admit there is lots of corruption. The evidence points to Joe Biden having been actively involved in Hunters corrupt business dealings both while he was VP and after.

Along with their using mules, the utter corruption is astonishing and the party as a whole needs dissolved, imo. They are the greatest threat to the Republic, which we stand.

No, it's a non-point disguised as a point. Whether the issue was called Russian disinformation or a ham sandwich, it doesn't push your narrative further forward than it was two years ago. You're exactly where you are today where you were last week, and last month, and last year: nowhere.

No, we've moved on and are in a different place. That place includes:
  • Even reliably left-wing media outlets like the NYT and WaPo acknowledging the laptop is genuine.
  • Twitter's stunningly biased attempt to suppress the story laid bare.
  • Even worse, the DNC's and the Biden campaign's orchestration of Twitters action exposed.
  • A Republican majority in the House with the power of subpoena.

Things are very different today than in 2020 when Twitter was operating as a social media censor for the Democrats.
