Leaving the GOP

Not officially he wasn’t. I would think such an occasion would be a cause for celebration because despite the idiots storming the Capital democracy still prevailed.
Oh, it was official by December. Only the stupidest people had doubts.

Tens of thousands of Republicans are changing their party affiation/registration after Jan 6th. As the article points out it is likely much higher than that as there are not many States who report these numbers. Hopefullu, soon the party will only have die hard Trumplodytes and extreme radicals.

Yes, in spite of Republicans; certainly not because of them.
Whatever they claimed to be Trump and a clear majority of Republicans condemned them saying they didn’t represent the values they stand for.

Put away that broad brush. It’s too messy.

I used to vote Republican regularly.

Never again.

147 House Republicans voted to reject the certifications, and all but a few very lone Republicans, along with right wing media, propagated the lie that Biden stole the election. At best, like McConnell, they simply remained silent while the lie was told over and over again.

And now, Republicans won't convict trump for inciting a violent insurrection that would have killed them.

If not for Democrats, judges and a handful of very brave DC policemen, the insurrection would have succeeded in one form or another. The insurrection was a Republican team effort months in the making.

Democracy won out in the end, but that's only because Republicans as a whole lost in their attempt to destroy it.

That does sum it up. How could any "conservative" stay with a party that licks boots? I left that crap behind over a decade ago. It's good to see others begin waking up to the fact that "freedom" is the opposite of the GOP these days. Ask Liz Cheney just how "free" that party is today.

Fealty to Trump? No thanks.

Other than your hatred for Trump please tell us how conservatives have injured you and made your life so miserable.

It's a good time for Biden to be president. He's such a vanilla Centrist that pretty much everyone except the Hardcore Nazis will get along with him.

After about two years of Joe, they’ll be plenty of common sense Democrats saying “My God, why did I buy the BS and vote for this clown?”.
Then they remembered oh shit Trump was way worse.

Who exactly are these CONSERVATIVES you are referencing?

Remember to answer that question as it applies to Biden in the months and years to come.

The problem is where is Kristol going to take his shitty political platform? Independent?

Then they'll remember trump was a bad monkey and they'll kick him in the face. (Paraphrasing Bubbles)

So, you don't care what the hell he does as long as he is viewed as nice. Sick!

You seem to be wishing for one-party rule. Wouldn't that be the same as a dictatorship? How has that worked out for any country? How about you engage the brain first before making up your wish list.

Don't have to wait months or years as we can start right now!
Has Biden personally broken into your home and punched you in the left ear?

Bill Kristol is a Reagan/Bush thinker which leaves a lot to be desired . He was among the McLaughlin Report regulars which I rarely missed. McLaughlin was definitely conservative yet brought on some moderate democrats every week. Made for some interesting viewing.

The question becomes what do these voters register themselves as? They have been blindly voting Republican nearly 4 decades. ALEC killed the GOP name 30 years ago Rump was the final nail however Fascist Koch/ALEC still has not walked away.

Are these so called walk aways reverting to Old School Republican?

That wasn't Kristol's quote. lol....but, the failure to understand does fit.

You caught me. I didn't follow Kristol's link.

I certainly understand the disenchantment with the Republican party. Romney convinced me in 2012. If you think that translates into support for Democrats you would be wrong.

You thought Biden being declared the winner was going to be boring? Strange.
He wasn't "declared" anything. He won the most votes. Maybe you meant "announced the winner." And, yeah, that's typically very boring because the result was known well ahead of time.
