Leaked Kremlin memo told Russian media to feature lots of Carlson

Carlson has to know that his Putinesk commentary is being mainlined into Russian State TV as indicative of American support for Putin's war in Ukraine. Carlson would have to be dead and too stupid to fall over not to know that. Therefore Carlson is wittingly providing support to Putin's propaganda effort with his own people domestically in Russia.

Meanwhile all of Putin's rationalizations for going into Ukraine have been blown to smithereens by his conduct of this war. It is not about:
- Russians in Donbas
- Russian language issues in Ukraine
- eithnic Russians in Ukraine generally as by percentage of population he is killing as many ethnic Russians in Ukraine as he is Ukrainians. If you include Putin's own losses, he is actually killing MORE ethnic Russians than he is killing Ukrainians
- it is not about denazification
- its not about NATO
- it is not about Putin's absurd assertions about what the communists did or did not do and what the Soviet Union did or did not do
- it is not about Putin's absurd assertions about bio-weapons development in Ukraine

It is simply the same old reason that aggressor nation states attack other nation states. Putin wants the territory and assets of Ukraine. That is it. That is all of it. Putin gets a side benefit in making NATO look powerless if NATO continues to play this rather haphazardly. But that is not why Putin went in. Putin wants the territory and assets of Ukraine.

The outlet said Carlson was the only Western journalist referenced in the memo.

There are those that believe that's exactly what will happen. May I also say that in the past, those few people have been wrong about similar things. We can only hope this will happen. Meanwhile, we must boycott as many that advertise on Vladimir Carlsons show as we can.

Your points about what Putin did and his preposterous excuses are not in dispute.

Neither I nor Carlson ever said anything that excused what Putin is doing. The opposite is the case. But you have to have been watching him to know that.
If I had to summarize, he's been alerting his listeners to be careful for what they think they want and how they may be manipulated by people who simply aren't honest with them and aren't acting in their interests.
Putin is obviously one of them and we have many in our Government. Do I have to name names and give examples?

As for what I presume is your main point - like everything that's said by anyone of any significance and picked up by media, any media, they should be aware that "fragments of broadcast" will be extracted out of context and misrepresented to make a point that wasn't made by the original speaker.
That practice has been going on forever. It shouldn't prevent the speaker from being honest and making their points simply because pieces are subject to exploitation.
You have to get beyond forming opinions from sound bites.

The problem is some 75 million morons listen to his garbage and live by it. I agree with what you say as do the courts. Now convince his mass of followers and we'll be getting somewhere.

Those morons have the possibility of electing someone who desperately wants to be like Putin. Carlson and others are partially responsible for this.
