Sharing my all time favorite game. To anyone ever played Defence Of The Ancients (DoTA) through the warcraft engine this game is very similar. You play a champion of your choosing each match and proceed to level up your champion until your base is destroyed or you destroy the enemies. This game is different than DoTA in that there is a seperate metagame that tracks your game players level and opens up new things to you. (You yourself level up. Called your summoner level.)

LoL is free 2 play but has very robust content from making really cool and new skins for the champions available for sell. They also release new champions every 1-3 weeks and have a BIG selection to date. (not sure but i think there may be 75+ champs) When I play this game it feels like new-age chess almost. Everything can be countered. And knowledge + tact = power.

I play, Malzahar is my main for SR. I jungle w/ Udyr, Dominion w/ Akali and support as either Sona or Teemo (Space Teemo FTW!)

Wow sounds awesome, I've had friends that have recomended it. I'm curious though since it's free to play. Does buying stuff give someone an advantage?

Cosmetic skins to make you champions cooler can be bought. But you have to earn in game points (by playing) in order to unlock more champions to play. (or you can buy them)

They rotate a list of 8 free champions to play each week.

They dont sell playing power. Just ease of character unlocks and skins.

Most money is spent on skins, however one can purchase IP/EXP boosts in order to either gain a slight bonus % IP/EXP per win. But in terms of in game strength, it cannot be bought.
