Really, really, really savvy. I love the way she got it started but gave herself an out. She knows how it continues but also knows others will cover for her.

Heck, any of us Christians know the full verse. We know what she means and what she started with that first sentence. I'm sure the Christians in the congregation knew what she meant. The following sentences...

During his time on earth a couple millennia ago, Jesus was consistently skeptical of those who used religion as a prop. In fact he regularly did verbal battle with groups like the Pharisees over that particular point (this was not the only point of disagreement, but it was consistent). Who did Jesus go to? Those who were honestly struggling and seeking for something better.

On top of that, a particular verse comes to mind as well...

If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
