L.A. police look for ex-cop suspected in shootings

The modern right wing of the US is notoriously anti-freedom, except on the issue of guns. From everything from censorship to policing the bedroom (i. e. anti-sodomy laws), the right wing is first to the plate.
That's BS. You are very confused and/or brainwashed.

It's the left wing in the US that pro-censorship. The conservatives anti-censorship.

You've got it ass-backwards.

And no, the conservatives are not trying to police your bedroom.

L.A. police look for ex-cop suspected in shootings - CNN.com

From CNN:

Time to take away police assault weapons and large magazines, right?

Police in San Diego say a man who could have been Dorner tried to hijack a boat there on Wednesday. Someone later found a wallet containing Dorner's identification and an LAPD detective's badge near the San Diego airport, according to police. It was unclear whether the badge was legitimate.

If he was fired...then why did he still have his badge?

Wtf is going on here?

Been asleep long?! The GOP has had to cheer for every bedroom-policing, anti-porn measure it can ever since it made a pact with Southern Evangelicals.

Now, according to a Morality in Media press release, the 2012 Republican Party platform — a portion of the draft of which was recently leaked —has been changed to reflect a new commitment to fighting not just child pornography, but also technically illegal adult pornography. Morality in Media is, unsurprisingly, a big fan of this kind of crackdown.

Maybe the GOP will change in the future, seeing as how the evangelical/FRC types are slowly becoming a liability to the GOP in national elections.

Still, the GOP's raison-d'etre is tilting the playing field in favor of its wealthy sponsors, and endorsing a police state inevitably accomplishes that goal, by forcing the common folk to live under the hammer while the affluent elite exploit their connections to be exempt from that police state.

Politicians love labels. Then they can make sure we are staying busy arguing with each others about labels while they loot the treasury.
Much like the roman games. Bring on the donkeys.

Especially partisan political books.

If u have any evidence that Richard Hudelson's Modern Political Philosophy , or any of the thousands of other books describing classical liberalism, is a "partisan political book", feel free to post it.

I'll wait. . .

Bull****.

Can you give some examples of these "bedroom-policing" measures?

First and foremost at this time is the struggle to stop same-sex marriage.

There were the multiple anti-sodomy laws until they were struck down in 2003 by the decision in Lawrence v. Texas. At that time 14 states still had such laws on the books: - Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Virginia

Then there is the fight against birth control being covered in health insurance plans

Republicans don't believe in full sex-education for children, preferring 'abstinence-only' despite its proven failure

How many of those laws were enacted by Republicans?

It was right there in the post you quoted "It was unclear whether the badge was legitimate."

The shooter was never a detective in the LAPD, he was just a normal uniformed patrol officer

As the saying goes,he's a dead man walking. His death wish is just a matter of time!

That's the issue....sounds like a *cop out* the unclear bit whether the badge was legit

In my ******** suspension or being terminated, your ID, shield and authorized guns are removed and not permitted to have an *extra* shield

In the dude's manifesto he said he expected to die.

It will be ugly

I prefer political history.

The people will love it like when they were throwing the christians to the lions.

It's personal and he is on a mission. He's in it for the long ride

If, the dude truly has the skill set/mindset he boasts of

He's extremely dangerous

Probably his dangerousness has more to do w/the fact that there are zillions of African Americans and more than a few African American organized criminal gangs, in LA and the surrounding communities that would gladly shelter him.

Try not to draw any conclusions about this without knowing ALL the facts

Not defending nor crucifying, the shoot.

When the police can shoot you just because you're driving a certain type of automobile is it a good thing to turn in your weapons to them? Did they even think to warn the ladies before launching their attack?

Yeah, shacking up at a friend's house and staying out of sight *his mo*

There are many minority *safe dwellings* in LA that hate or are disgusted with cops in general

According to reports I have read there was no warning.

It should be noted that in the incident the cops also shot other vehicles in the neighborhood as well as a few houses.
