Because it's mayor and governor are idiots and ineffective at protecting the city/state. Just look at how poorly they prepared for and handled the fire season. The mayor was in Africa, and the reservoir was dry.
Liberals are good at making promises, spending money on wasteful policies, and allowing far too much BS to go unchallenged and crime to go unpunishied.

Here we have a Republican Administration official stating that the Executive Branch is determined to get rid of a state's elected officials - and for no reason other than the fact the mayor and the governor are Democrats.
