What would have happened the night in Kenosha if the protesters who were not looting, or destroying property the night if the shooting.

What would have happened if all the protesters also carried AR 15s. And these same protesters stood in front of the faux militia persons?

What would the Kenosha police have done?

Then if someone got trigger happy and shooting started and the mayhem, Rittenhouse was killed, but tragedically in the chaos he was shot by one his own untrained militia guys.

Would Rittenhouse"s family go after the Kenosha officials, the Kenosha police with legal action?

The verdict may have been just by trial and jury.

The incident in Kenosha should not be applauded by anyone, yes if you truly believe Rittenhouse acted in self defense, yes applaud the verdict.

But all should speak out on the real problem that night:

Looting and destruction of property will not be tolerated and the negligence on the part of Kenosha officials should be scrutinized and fixed.

Protesters absolutely have a right to protest.

Absolutely no Mickey mouse, many untrained armed persons acting like a militia should be allowed or tolerated.

Logic is dead.

Workshop it.

This will be common now. I suspect the deplorables are happy now. This will change and quickly once folks start shooting back however.

Trumpism is the ultimate curse to sociaty.

There is really nothing new about this. Flashback to the LA riots of the early 90s. When the police failed to protect the citizenry from the violent mobs - white, Asian, and Hispanic citizens armed themselves to defend their lives and property. These “protests” have never been just protests. They always have an extremely violent element which hijacks the protest and targets innocent people and, unfortunately, citizens must be prepared to take matters into their own hands when the police inevitably fail to protect and defend the innocent.

Don't do arson, mayhem, vandalism and looting, and you probably won't get shot.

I agree with your premise. But the final solution should not come down to armed citizens.

You didn't mention January 6th riots at the Capitol.

Should civilians, average citizens converged on the Capitol with assault rifles.

The Capitol is the people's building, the Capitol police are the people's police.

I asked this question with no answer from persons that think like you.

Should the rioters at the U.S. Capitol been massacred?

After all obviously the DC police were fearing for their lives

Or do you think violent rioters who don't think like you should be the only ones patrolled by militia s and then killed if they approach the militia with any form of aggression

The Capitol is the government’s to protect and defend. When it comes to civilian/citizen communities being targeted by “social justice” mobs, the final solution must come down to armed citizens. Local police are not equipped to manage the scale of violence we’re talking about. Let’s look at one example from the LA riots.

Fidel Lopez, a Guatemalan immigrant, was pulled out of his truck by the mob, robbed, savagely beaten within an inch of his life, his body was spray painted black, and the “protestors” were just about to mutilate him by cutting his ears off when a local pastor intervened and saved his life. That is what awaits you if you aren’t prepared to defend yourself in these situations. It’s beyond the capability of the local police to stop. You can either be a victim of the mob or you can be prepared to take responsibility for your own safety.

Nice try, the Capitol, the community it's all ours.

I'll take it you are unable or unwilling to answer the crux of the question.

At a minimum: Those that physically attacked someone, clearly attempted to physically attack someone, or any who attempted or committed arson, should have been taken into custody if possible and failing that, shot if need be, to prevent them from doing the aforementioned harm.

I'd also be inclined to give benefit of the doubt to anyone who, charged by an apparently hostile mob, opened fire on same. A mob of dozens (let alone hundreds) can tear a person apart like a plucked chicken if they get their hands on you. In my state an unarmed attack by 3 or more people on 1 is called Lynching and is considered deadly force, for a good reason.

Arson, btw, is no joke. People can and do die. Even if there is no one in residence at the time and place, firemen can lose their lives battling the blaze, or it can spread beyond the initial site and destroy large areas. Arson is equivalent to assault with a deadly weapon, in my view.

On Jan 6 I woke up in the hospital after planned heart surgery. My nurse was watching this mess on the TV. I could not speak, having a breathing tube down my throat, but I gestured at the TV and made interrogatory gestures until he explained what was happening. It was quite an appalling thing to wake up to, lying there helpless and wondering what else might happen. In no way do I endorse or excuse the Jan6 riot, any more than I excuse the violent riots and arson in Kenosha or elsewhere.

Don't presume to know how I think.

The Capitol has nothing to do with whether or not you’re willing to become the next Fidel Lopez. But it is a good example of what happens when the local authority is unwilling or unable to contain the mob. Its not ours to protect and defend. Your own life and property is.

Interestingly, there were a handful of Congresspersons willing to defend themselves rather than rely on the hitherto ineffective Capitol police to do it for them. Do you support their right to do so? If Rep. Crow had shanked one of the mob with his pen would you have supported that action?

We’ll be sure to remember that next time there is a 1/6.

I never said 1/6 was any sort of exception. In fact I've said it wasn't.

The age of vigilante justice and crazed mobs taking the law into their own hands is here. Enjoy.
