Kennedy guts CDC's vaccine panel of independent experts

I predict that Canada will become a powerhouse in the scientific fields as more highly trained individuals leave the USA and relocate to Canada due to the utter and exterme idiocy of the Trump administration

Time for some new talking points. He's right. People should only take medical advice from their doctor and the doctors and scientists at NIH, CDC, FDA, etc.

8 of the last 10 HHS secretary's didn't have a medical degree. Did you listen to them for medical advice or the doctors & scientists under them?

Were you worried about the medical journals that had a higher citation error report than the MAHA report?

You keep quoting this rando twitter person named "MAHA Report".
Don't you have your own thoughts? Or are you the MAHA Report?

Good.

All you have to do is lookup who the people are on that panel to know that they are corporate lackeys with enormous conflicts of interest.

We should not have big pharma or big agro reps in our regulatory bodies. They are supposed to be impartial.
Be sure to let us know how you removed your polio and measles vaccine.

Oh, it won't just be Canada - The United States is going to fall below some poor countries in Africa in medical advancements.

The two toxic trends that were dominant in Weimar Germany were Freikorps/Dolchstoßlegende ultranationalism and woo-heavy whole earth, archaic diet, blood and soil "health" movements, so...

This article argues that the CDC's reliance on self reported COIs without independent verification leaves room for undisclosed ties. It questions how many members might have hidden pharmaceutical relationships. The system was set up to benefit big pharma and not the public.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a group charged with shaping vaccine policy for the U.S. and beyond, is expected to operate with unwavering integrity. Yet, the CDC’s latest disclosures reveal a pattern of members entangled in pharmaceutical ties while making recommendations that profoundly impact public health. The committee’s failure to fully disclose these conflicts at key decision-making junctures raises grave concerns about the legitimacy of vaccine policies—both domestically and globally.

The Fox Guarding the Henhouse: ACIP’s Self-Policing on Conflicts of Interest

The CDC claims that ACIP members must declare conflicts of interest (COIs) before each meeting and recuse themselves from votes on products linked to their financial or research ties. However, the very structure of this system is built on self-reporting, without independent verification or enforcement. The mere act of abstaining from a vote does not erase the undue influence these relationships have on committee discussions, framing of evidence, and policy recommendations.

Case Studies of Concern

Dr. Yvonne (Bonnie) Maldonado disclosed serving on a Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) for Pfizer vaccine trials and as a site PI for Pfizer and AstraZeneca trials. Despite these affiliations, she continues to be an influential voice on the committee. How many of her colleagues were swayed by her professional relationships when assessing vaccine safety and efficacy?

Dr. Wilbur Chen, working with MassBiologics (funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), recused himself from a single vote while remaining engaged in deliberations affecting the broader vaccine landscape. The potential for undue influence extends far beyond one abstention.

Dr. Camille Kotton, engaged in clinical trials for Takeda’s antiviral products, repeatedly disclosed her pharmaceutical ties, yet her participation in ACIP discussions remains largely unexamined.

The CDC’s website conveniently only lists members who declared conflicts, leaving a glaring question unanswered: how many members have undisclosed ties that remain hidden from public view?

The Call for Accountability

The public deserves more than a veneer of transparency. To restore credibility to vaccine policy, immediate steps must be taken:

Independent Conflict of Interest Audits – An external body should verify all ACIP members’ financial and professional ties, with full public disclosure.

Lifetime Ban on Industry Employment for ACIP Members – Any individual serving on ACIP should be barred from accepting employment or financial benefits from pharmaceutical companies for a minimum of ten years after their tenure.

Complete Recusal from Deliberations, Not Just Votes – ACIP members with any financial or research ties to vaccine manufacturers should be excluded from all related discussions, not merely abstain from the final vote.

Publicly Accessible Full Disclosures – The CDC must publish detailed COI statements for every ACIP member, not just those who choose to disclose.

We all knew it was going to be bad under Trump, we just didn't know the details. Marines in Los Angeles after an ICE raid at a Home Depot that got people into the streets? Then firing everyone who believed in vaccines? This is just the beginning. Does everyone know about "No Kings Day"? Protests are organized for around the country for this Saturday, June 14, the day of Trump's military birthday parade. It is also Flag Day, of course.

"Maybe. But like our lawyers say, the world is full of things that can cause a" heart attack.
Is that an excuse to ignore the heart issues?
I believe the pharmaceutical industry needs better regulations. I also think foods, beverages, cosmetics, etc. could be healthier and safer. What you're in favor of in this thread will do the opposite of that by bringing in people who aren't really scientists and experts to "regulate" those industries.
Getting rid of a rubber stamp for big pharma and a vaccine panel that's never not approved a vaccine isn't a good thing?

Those "experts" on the vaccine panel weren't looking out for the publicist safety. They were only looking out for big phamra profits.

You’re talking to a guy who thinks there was a prehistoric nuclear war on Mars. The internet ate his brain a long time ago.
When the big pharma bootlickers can't specifically discuss a subject they go straight to insults. 🥱

The rabid vaxers look the other way on this and defend it like it's a normal and reasonable process. Talk about being brainwashed by big pharma. Zero critical thinking from the rabid vaxers. Can anyone defend this?

In 2000 the House issued the results of an investigation of ACIP and another vaccine advisory committee under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration—the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee. It found that enforcement of its conflict-of-interest rules was weak to nonexistent. Committee members regularly participated in deliberations and advocated products in which they had a financial stake. The CDC issued conflict-of-interest waivers to every committee member. Four out of eight ACIP members who voted in 1997 on guidelines for the Rotashield vaccine, subsequently withdrawn because of severe adverse events, had financial ties to pharmaceutical companies developing other rotavirus vaccines. A 2009 HHS inspector-general report echoed these findings. Few committee members completed full conflict-of-interest forms—97% of them had omissions. The CDC took no significant action to remedy the omissions.

The spiraling down of America as a modern , advanced world nation is remarkable to witness.

It's a joke from a TV show - kudos to anyone who gets it without looking it up.

This will be worse and probably hurt more people.

We have the sickest population and the biggest chronic disease epidemic in the world. Explain how we can spiral down from that?

Explain why and be specific
Why? You'll just choose to believe conspiracy theories anyway. I've been down this road with you.

Besides, I already explained from a high level. Plenty of others have gone further into the details. Your response so far has been to double down by posting more propaganda.

I knew it. When asked for specifics you guys always have an excuse why you can't provide them. Its obvious you guys constantly make claims that you can't back up.

Last time I gave you specifics, you said, "so we need more evidence." So I provided more evidence, and you stopped responding entirely and went back to your unsubstantiated hogwash. You don't discuss in good faith.

I remember that. We both posted studies that showed different things which is why I said we need more studies. Perfectly reasonable thing to say in a discussion.

But not perfectly reasonable to stop your end of the discussion when provided with more studies and asked for additional independent studies to support your side. I suspect you didn't have any and decided it was better to keep believing the conspiracies.
