More decay within our society. Cultures nuked and destroyed.

I hazard to think what comes next.

KKK clubs? How about an aspiring terrorist club?

Where is the line drawn?

High School Satan Club” will now be included among the extracurricular offerings at Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas after the school district gave the greenlight for its creation.

The club’s approval comes amid growing opposition from other students and parents with concerns about kids being encouraged to worship Satan.

A petition to stop the club had garnered more than 7,800 signatures at the time of publishing.

“Recently, I discovered that there are plans to establish a Satan worship/ Satan Templist Club at Olathe Northwest Highschool. This deeply troubles me and many others in our community as we believe that schools should be places of education and growth, not platforms for satanic indoctrination or controversial practices,” Olathe Northwest student Drew McDonald wrote in creating the petition.
“We urge the relevant authorities in Olathe, KS—school administrators, district officials, and local representatives—to reconsider this decision. We believe it is not in the best interest of our children or community.”
Some signers pointed to their Christian beliefs as their reason for opposing the club, while others cited general moral concerns. Still, some acknowledged that the club’s existence was likely protected by the First Amendment.

“Seems we lost this round and I don’t agree with it, but consider this: It’s within their First Amendment rights in our own Constitution for them to assemble,” local parent Gregory Austin wrote.
“Other school districts have lost this battle in court. I think it’s better to have ‘no’ religious groups on school property than this.”

I'm not opening zerohedge. What other clubs are at the school?

So will these idiots who allowed this turn a blind eye if these Devil worshippers want to engage in human sacrifice?

It's called Freedom of Religion. It applies to all religions, not just the religion you like.

Don't like it? Too bad.

I'd advise you to do some research on Satan clubs. They do not do anything remotely close to 'human sacrifice', nor would that even be excused in this situation, because freedom of religion does not give you the right to harm others.

They're basically just after-school social clubs.

Pointing about the absolute hypocrisy of Christian theocrats who hide behind claims of freedom in their bid to shove their personal religion down everyone else's throat is a good thing. You want the freedom to practice a religion that worships a 'god' who repeatedly ****ed up and then killed a lot and/or all humans in embarrassment-induced rage? Ok, then they get the freedom to practice a religion celebrating that god's cartoonish enemy (who god, despite being all-powerful, can't seem to get rid of).

Of course, there's the Church of Satan, there's satanism, and then there's Satan clubs. Only one even pretends to worship a devil.

But these are high school kids so there's a fair chance their goal wasn't even so lofty and they just wanted to get a bunch of righties to voice hysterical worries about human sacrifice for their own amusement. Meaning they played you.

You Trumpsters/Republicans brought this on yourselves.. You were warned over and over again... Deal with it now..

I wouldn’t willingly join such a thing, but the first amendment is the first amendment.

I don't think you have to worry about that.

The After School Satan Club does not believe in introducing religion into public schools and will only open a club if other religious groups are operating on campus. ASSC exists to provide a safe and inclusive alternative to the religious clubs that use threats of eternal damnation to convert school children to their belief system. Unlike our counterparts, who publicly measure their success in young children's "professions of faith," the After School Satan Club program focuses on science, critical thinking, creative arts, and good works for the community. While engaged in all of these activities, we want clubgoers to have a good time.

Well, this is zerohedge, so they don't say.

But on the website for The Satanic Temple they say they only open these clubs if there are religious clubs present at the school to provide a secular alternative free of threats of eternal damnation.

I'll never stop finding it funny to see people freak out about anything "Satanic" because they think Satan is like, an actual dark force that is genuinely dangerous to mess with.

I don't think Christians realize how comical it makes them look. It's like if you wiggled your fingers around and started muttering and someone ran away because they thought you were casting a hex on them.

Plenty of examples of human sacrifice in the Bible, not just that famous scene with the angel interrupting Abraham.

Boo hoo, they allow clubs for your invisible man in the sky, so they have to allow a club for a non existent devil.

Don't you hate equality?
