Justice Department Told Trump in May That His Name Is Among Many in the Epstein Files

For the overly-credulous posters who haven't figured out the con yet (MAGAs), Trump asked for the Grand Jury testimony to be unsealed because he knew the request would be denied.

The files that everyone are talking about - the "list" - isn't part of the GJ testimony, it's part of the FBI file, which is entirely under the control of the Trump Administration, and not subject to any "gag orders."

The Trump Administration was literally crowing about how they had it for weeks, until May, when they actually looked at it, and found Trump's name all over it
Thats not true

You have no idea what you're talking about

A US federal judge on Wednesday denied a justice department request to unseal grand jury transcripts related to a criminal investigation of the late sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein in south Florida from the mid-2000s.

Thats not true

You’re truly just making things up, trying hard to portray dear leader as wanting all the files released but it’s the court that stopped him.

It’s simply not true.

The files are not the same as grand jury testimony, not even close

They knew from the start that grand jury testimony isn’t the same, that grand jury testimony is limited and the chances of it being released were slim to none, especially given that Maxwell still has an appeal going.

It was all smoke and mirrors to try to throw a bone to the flock thinking it would fool and appease them. Most weren’t fooled by the smoke and mirrors, some clearly were though.

And he didn’t say let’s release ‘all’ files.

🤣

Yes, I absolutely do know what I'm talking about.

To repeat:

It the Judge refused to unseal "the list" this week, how was it on Bondi's desk back in February?

Lots of that going around these days for some reason.

Well, duh, the guy doesn't have much of a poker face and has been telegraphing this for weeks through his flailing.

Justice Department Told Trump in May That His Name Is Among Many in the Epstein Files

Anyway, hoax, no files, Obama, etc.
So what does it mean when someone is on a list of high profile names?
Is that simply guilty by association? No due process for Trump?
No innocent until proven guilty of anything?
The Dems howl about not giving due process consideration to a migrant from El Salvador who was wrongly sent to a prison in EL Salvador.
But when it comes to a duly elected president sitting the White House, the unproven fact of Trump's name being on some list is enough to declare he is a pedophile.
Does anyone think that's a bit harsh given no indictment and no trial?

Trump being a pervert is hardly news, but your idea of “pulling a Trump” and shipping him off to a foreign torture prison without due process is interesting. Worth considering, certainly.

Now there's a fantasy one can dwell on that will never happen but yet makes the anti-Trumpers feel good.

Elon probably has a giant smirk on his face right about now. Bah.
Does Elon have his own copy of the Epstein files?

Seems likely the pervert will escape justice, yes.
So you have already convicted him of pedophilia because he could be on some "list" that belonged to Epstein? Is that how justice for the most important leader in the entire world works now?
Or maybe because you are a fan of due process, you might consider another round of impeachment if the Dems take over the House? Would that be your concession to fair justice for a president?

Thats not true
lol... Yes, it is.

When convening a grand jury, the prosecutor's goal is to present sufficient evidence to convince a grand jury to charge the suspect with specific crimes.

Grand jury proceedings and testimony is NOT a broad investigation that sorts through hundreds of contacts looking for potential crimes. It's very specific, and focuses on the suspect. Prosecutors only submit a small percentage of all the evidence to the grand jury for review -- basically just the minimum needed to convince a jury to indict the suspect.

This means the FBI and DoJ have TONS of evidence that is NOT under seal, and they CAN release. This includes anything not submitted to evidence before the grand jury (i.e. most of it), testimony gathered after the grand jury indicted, and so on.

This is why Bondi released a binder to MAGA influencers months ago without violating any laws. (It turned out not to have any new information, which just pissed MAGA off.)

Whether or not he's a pedophile or just enjoys hanging out with and covering for pedophiles is still to be sorted out. But the fact that he's a pervert and a weirdo is well-known, long-established, and beyond dispute. Dude's disgusting.

Dunno but he ain’t the Prez no more, your hero, Trump, is the Prez and he’s the one covering everything up, and he’s the one who was close friends with Epstein.
What are you suggesting he is covering up? He is pushing for the release of the files.

/sarcasm
is he? Didn't Trump say he would like all "relevant" files be released? That puts a condition on what records. I would bet he or his lawyers get to decide what is relevant and what is not.

They were sealed until Jan 24, at which point any exposure would have solicited endless whining from the MAGAsphere and violent outbursts from MAGA terrorists.
Complete BS. It was MAGA that was demanding the release of the files. And they still are.

Nice job citing salacious news stories about Trump to prove your point every one knows of his past indiscretions.
So, your indictment of Trump as a 'pervert and weirdo' is something that should surprise those who elected him?
That and a $2.75 subway fare will give you a fun trip on New York's subways.

I can't imagine anyone is surprised or is only just finding out now that Trump is a pervert with a troubling history of statements about even young girls and a long friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. But you did sort of seem surprised earlier in the thread?
