Thank you. That's excellent. Very glad you're there, and are finding it as it should be. Your work is as American as it gets.I can only speak for the Judges and Clerks of the various precincts I have worked, I was a floater for a bit until assigned my current precinct. I have never witnessed an official try to influence a citizen in any way. I am confident that the system I am a part of favors no person nor party.
I was loaned out recently and the workers were all brand new to it except for one of the Judges.
I visited with them and told them to remain calm and polite and if there were any issues just call me over. I reassured them that if someone came in hostile I would step in to redirect that person. If they had any questions they were to ask and I would get an answer, even if I had to call someone.
About the only time I have had to correct someone was when they started talking politics. I stopped them and said that is a verboten subject at the polls, tell me about your house pets and favorite recipes, not necessarily involving the pets. People get bored and forget where they are at during low turnout elections.
I know the Judge I normally work with is a tRumpy, the Clerk has never expressed a political opinion.
Neither of them every vary from the procedure that they are to follow. They are professional and courteous at all times and do their best to greet every voter with a smile and thank you for taking time to vote.
I do the same.
No election official has expressed to me a concern about the validity of the process or the results thereof.
