He knowingly conspired with the Russian government to turn Wikileaks into a tool for undermining American Democracy. Sadly, it depends on whether you are sitting on the right or left aisle of American politics to decide if that makes Assange a good or bad person human being.

I think Assange is a Good Guy. Everything he has released should have been Public Domain anyway. The rape allegations were requested to be dropped by the ladies. One was for not using a condom, Both were consensual. He embarassed the US and US lying diplomats by making the lies public knowledge. He made public knowledge the helo pilot singing "bye, bye, Miss American Pie' as he blew up a journalist with a missile. JOURNALIST!!! He released info that substaniated Snowden's allegation that NSA, CIA, etc. were eavesdropping on all US phone/internet and it was illegal. He revealed CIA hacking tradecraft that inserted code to create false flags imitating Russian, Chinese, etc. coding techniques. Remember that the next time the gov't says it was Russian code or Chinese code or Syrian code. I like him because I know much of our gov't is sociopathic scumbags attached to the Deep State. On this board they think Deep State is a conspiracy theory. That's all. Like it or lump it.

Perhaps you relied on faulty memory. A quick search appears to reveal multiple (as in plural... more than one) accusation of sexual assault against Assange.

Not withstanding my lack of expertise on the details, we can quickly agree mere accusations do not indicate guilt.

When I think of Assange, I think of Snowden. I have a lot more sympathy and appreciation for Snowden than Assange.

Truth is treason in the empire of lies. Anyone who contributes to the revelation of the egregious acts of so-called public servants and informs the people (not just America) is "good" enough for me. I just wish he'd stand up to Putin. Everyone is so scared of Putin (which is perfectly understandable, he's a scary guy who worked for the Russian CIA for years and worked his way up the ranks via Yeltsin and Bush administration insanity, has people killed on the reg and knows martial arts apparently). Julian needs to be in jail.

Edward Snowden....... instead of screaming to the top of his lungs should have went to the Inspector Generals Office with his witnessing crimes ; OR the FBI. But he thought fame and fortune awaited him......And not a Federal Arrest warrant. Two men without a country ---- deservingly.

As much as we hate to have secret stuff exposed about how our government works, I think that Assange did a good thing for US by letting out how creepy we behave and that we spy on our allies. I say that because we've been trouble for decades now due to foreign and domestic policies that do not have our best interest nor the best interests of our allies at heart. We have been led around by the profit motive which has no conscious and no sense and it really high time we owned up to it, and what Assange released only proves it. The Hillary email debacle, same thing. If we are ever going to be Reagan's "Beacon in the Hill" we have a duty to make sure that our tower is projecting light and not just pissin on everyone.
