Judges spar with Democrats, DOJ in impeachment doubleheader

I know that if Trump committed no crimes then he shouldn't be impeached. And I know that Democrats want more witnesses because they impeached a president with no evidence of crimes, which is why they need more witnesses. If they had enough evidence of crimes to impeach then they wouldn't need more witnesses. Even you just admitted there are no violations of the criminal code so this is nothing but partisan politics.

There was one within the last month or so. Don't recall the details, but the judge issued a scathing hundred-some odd page report. Trump's attorneys made the argument that if Trump shot someone on 5th Avenue, he could not only not be prosecuted, but that he couldn't even be investigated because of "absolute immunity." The judge wasn't happy.

Perhaps you've heard that many of these decisions are being appealed and will land in the SCOTUS. That alone tells you Trump is losing his court cases.

You forgot emoluments. There are three cases wending their way thru the judicial system at this time; cases focused on Trump profiting from foreign governments by their stays in his hotels.

And campaign finance violations and obstruction of justice. He's committed crimes folks. The dems just did not want to confuse to many people with laying out the whole thing. Trump supporters can't even understand what Trump did with Ukraine.

Are you just trying to provoke argument or what? The campaign finance laws were broken when Trump was about 1 week out from election 2016. He's named Individual 1 in Cohen's court document. He also broke the same law when he requested a thing of value (Investigations) from Ukraine. You all might get away with all this, but you will go down as the most ignorant bunch in politics.

He shouldn't be impeached until you prove he committed crimes! You don't impeach someone first and then find witnesses to prove your case later. Your spin is a wasted effort.

Facts my friend. All you can do is spin. I have no more time for this crap. And yes, I HATE Don the Con and all his supporters and am doing everything in my power to make sure the idiot is not re-elected. It's obvious the GOP senate is involved in a cover up along with the DOJ and the State Dept.

Not sure what your point is. I seriously doubt that the House's Sergeant At Arms holds any special authority over a department under a different branch of government.

1. Cohen violated campaign finance laws when he made an in-kind donation. Not Trump.

2. Sharing information isn't a campaign contribution. It's literally protected by the 1st Amendment.

The obstruction of justice charges go to ordering witnesses to keep quite, scrubbing documents, threatening others for talking, and harassing entire departments for complying to Congressional inquiries. Trump's behavior has been about ordering others to prove their loyalty to him over country. Conservatives don't get to rationally whine about something he so obviously did. Especially, considering that they impeached Clinton for lying about getting a blowjob. Lying about that was obstruction and this was the sole charge. Trump has actually gone out of his way to dare people to criticize him for his obvious obstruction. He did the same thing with the Mueller case, in which he obviously got lucky. And none of it has to have a thing to do with Trump filing a petition.
