Judge Chutkan unseals Special Counsel Jack Smith's redacted motion of evidence in the federal Jan. 6 case against citizen Donald J Trump

Do you really want to know what is ironic about this?

What was unsealed today was Smith's pleading to the judge regarding Trump immunity. This pleading demanded by the SC.

The evidence in this pleading is from Grand Jury testimony. This is stuff we would never have seen before trial without the SC demanding that Judge Chutkan rule on what is or is not a function of Trump's office thus establishing whether Trump had immunity.

Maybe Roberts and the other RW IDIOTS are not so smart after all. Seem to have made a mess of their effort to help Fat Donnie.

When bombs like this drop, they sit back and wait for marching orders to give them their talking points. And they start trolling the shit out of the thread to divert the topic. Sometimes they'll have one or two sacrificial lambs that come in early to troll and deflect as hard as they can for cover until the cavalry shows up to help them.

Trump's followers are unaware of this development. They avoid responsible news sources. Too much reality. That explains their silence.

Trump's lawyers, in an attempt to limit the damage of this release, completely ignore the evidence against Trump. Trump says the filing is a hoax, which meaningless name calling unless substantiation for the charge is provided. But then, Trump does that lot, which is one reason only his devout followers believe him. They don't know any better, but they have the common sense to stay silent about Trump.

The problem was created when six Republican justices interfered in the Presidential election by declaring that the President has immunity from crimes originating from the President's official acts! The six Republican justices have remained silent about their decision. Not a peep.

Trump and the six Republican justices are a direct to American democracy. Republicans know it, which explains why they won't respond to the contents of this report, but they want to pick our next President.

That said, here is what happened today.

The Times reports, "The special counsel, Jack Smith, has asked a federal judge to make public a substantial amount of the evidence that he and his deputies have collected during nearly two years of investigating former President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, according to a court filing unsealed on Friday.

"In the filing, Mr. Smith described the sorts of information about Mr. Trump that he would like to reveal in a public version of a lengthy secret brief that he submitted under seal on Thursday evening to Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, who is overseeing the election interference case in Federal District Court in Washington.

"The sealed brief, which may have been as long as 180 pages with a lengthy additional attachment of exhibits, was Mr. Smith’s attempt to defend his indictment of Mr. Trump against the Supreme Court’s recent ruling granting him a broad form of immunity against criminal prosecution for official acts."
