New York (CNN) — A former reporter who was fired for fabricating sources was arrested Friday and accused of making some of the bomb threats against Jewish institutions that have so rattled Jews recently.

Juan Thompson, 31, was charged with one count of cyber-stalking for making at least eight threats as part of an attempt to intimidate a particular person after their romantic relationship ended, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Southern District of New York.

The complaint alleges Thompson had emailed and phoned in threats to the Anti-Defamation League and other Jewish institutions. Some of those threats mentioned a "Jewish Newtown," according to the complaint, an apparent reference to the infamous 2012 school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

The media has recently reported heavily about threats against the Jewish community in the US, and it turns out that one of the culprits is one of their own, not a Trump supporter like they'd hoped.

The intercept seems to be a privacy activist site??? I can't actually tell what their political stances on things are, but they do tend to be sensationalist click-baiters none the less.

My pro-gmo, Anti-Net Neutrality, and anti carbon tax stances are well known here and those aren't liberal in any reality. So I am not sure where you get your information from.

They stated that their initial focus of reporting would be on the NSA and it's practices. They currently cover stories across the spectrum of topics. The former editor moved on to focus on the plight of gays, blacks, and victims of the Iraq war. Their political stance isn't very difficult to figure out, you can do it.

So, I'm assuming you own stock in Monsanto, or a similar company. Hillary Clinton probably does as well. Loving money isn't solely a conservative trait.

They usually won't comment on the endless stories that dispute their talking points on a daily basis, that's all I meant. I commented on the Milo scandal, the Hastert scandal, hell I even started a thread about the mosque shooting in Quebec. None of those stories did conservatives a favor ya know.

The question remains: who is "they" supposed to be?

You don't take responsibility for the actions of any other conservative so why should "leftists" take responsibility for the actions of other "leftists"?

If you want to discuss that topic I will gladly do it if you post a thread of a recent occurrence that happened in the food services industry. Otherwise, I am not going to go into that on a thread that is about a reporter making things up and then getting arrested for causing bomb threats. At least I make my own choices and don't call everyone who doesn't agree with me a "insert political ideology here".

Totally agree with you. By the same token folks blaming the alt-right, Trump etc is also wrong.

Many people say Pox on both your houses. Thus low voter turnout and the majority party would be "independent" which has more identified voters than Dem or Rep.
