He's already come out publicly and said he refuses to apologize.

The he should be censured in the Senate for insulting the young men and women who serve in the military and announce any considerations to running for President have just been withdrawn. No way this man should ever serve as CnC.

Marine Dad x2

Kerry needs to come back out and admit he madea mistake, his ego might be a little bloated and so he doesn't feel the need to apologize, your own party is condeming you, just give up pal, and stop saying that this is a textbook GOP tactic.Saying that is like an American tactic lol.Well its not a GOP textbook response when your own party is telling you you're stupid.Give up Kerry.

That's what I thought but you said that he just helped the Republicans win the house and the senate, I didn't think that was decided untill after the elections.

I'm not going to agrue for him, I think he's a moron.

My point was that he might have lost a lot of veteran and military votes by his stupid comments......

Well we can agree on that but he was your party nominee for president in 2004 and one of your leaders.......

And I think he had his chance but he really does believe what he said else he would have withdrawn immediately and gotten on his hands and knees begging forgiveness from the troops.

His response is appalling. I am taken aback at how stupid he is behaving. He wants to look tough, but these circumstances are not the kind where he should be exhibiting that kind of behavior. Objectively, he insulted our troops. He is digging himself deeper into a hole. I just cannot fathom what is going through his mind.

First this clown slanders Vietnam Vets and now he does the same thing to people serving in the military now and in Iraq........

Even the biggest Liberals like Champs has to admit this guy has total disdain for our military.....

The question is does anyone think he will? When he sees this he will be attacking me instead of his hero.........stay tuned.....

The title on the cnn.com site is "Bush to join attack against Kerry"

I am sorry but to put that title out there makes Bush look bad, and Kerry as the victim. What an obvious example of media partisanship.

I am sure Fox News has got their fancy title too ( I haven't looked) but I'd have to agree with whichever network will slam Kerry on this.

"I'mmm John Kerry and I didn't say what you think I said it's just that you're too stupid to grasp the enormity of my intellect."

'I Apologize to No One'
Embattled Kerry reloads, fires back at critics
who say he insulted U.S. troops fighting in Iraq

Actually sounds fair and balanced to me.... state the facts with no embellishment, just like a news network should...

I wonderr what Bush is going to say, he's gonna comment.

Crap!!!! Did Cheney become President and I didn't know about it?

Or, were you just being sarcastic and not really bringing anything constructive to the conversation?

Anyone that voted for that draft dodger Bill Clinton shouldn't talk my friend.....

Looks like a fair and balanced headline to me.

Good on Bush looks like this one's picking up traction, let's keep it going the tides are turning, I might just not have to kill myself on the grounds that I can't live in a world with a Speaker Pelosi or a Senate Majority leader Reid.

Kerry has spoken many times about how the military is lowering their standards for entry, and that recruiters go after the poor and uneducated.

Sounds like a dumb quote from Kerry (he's had many) - but the above statement is the true argument.

True, and inarguable.... however, what does Cheney have to do with the Kerry statement?

Nothing, he is desperately trying to minimalize what Kerry said and did afterwards by deflecting with a specious arguement.

Bush could say the exact same thing and get away with it. Kerry can't.

The difference is that Bush can resort to the "village idiot mangling the English language" excuse, and the "intellectual" Kerry can't.

Kerry needs to take a page from the recently released Howard Dean book of "election strategery", and keep his mouth shut until the election is over.

The difference is, Bush CAN admit a mistake, apparently Kerry can't.He's in the wrong in both parties eyes, just apologize and admit.....I mean not that it matters now. It's too late, and I doubt this will taper off(in media yes) in only a week.

I don't like Kerry. In fact, I think that John Kerry is the most unlikable candidate that either party has ran since Richard Nixon. That said, he did not call our soldiers stupid. What he said was actually pretty much true. If you don't get an education, you have two options, work for nothing or join the military. Thats about it. The majority of those who enlist, enlist because they cannot afford college, or they have no hope of getting into one. I don't think it has anything to do with them being stupid though. Instead, its more of an income demographic issue. Pretty much since the beginning of civilization, rich and powerful people send poor people's kids off to fight their wars for them.
